for the older groups. Food was flavorless and entertainment was just live music like violins and stuff. nothing to do for fun on the ship but 2 ping pong tables, one basketball court, and a shuffle board . we just stayed on the room the whole time

with them being owned by royal Caribbean it was disappointing, the perks you get with this ship would be the same a getting a balcony . On royal you get so much more

if your over 65 this is a good quiet ship. If you want to have fun look at another one.

we bought a calm shell sunshade months ago. Could not even get one they were taken by another ship that was there.. Never i have been on a ship that put 2 ships on the privet island. and our ship was an hour late getting there

no instructions, never told us if you wanted to leave the ship first to keep the luggage , we had priority and still had to wait an hour and 1/2 to get off

Wow. I know everyone has a right to their own opinion, but......HAL never disappoints. I have had nothing but wonderful experiences in every aspect, lodging, entertainment, food, service. I am a firm believer that if you look for the good in everything and everyone - you will find it. Just saying! Happy cruising to all. 👍🍹🌴🐟❤

No way you could have been on Nieuw Amsterdam. You didn't get anything right. We were there last March and there was a mixture of ages. Our itinerary was great. The ship was great. The food in buffet and my ain dining room, absolutely delicious and the burgers at Dive-In were the best I've ever had. Loved everything!!!!!?

Wow. I have sailed on a few different lines. HAL is definitely better for a more mature individual both physically and mentally. Obviously you are not any of those. I have found the entertainment to consist of much more than orchestra. I do not know what or where you were eating on the ship but in my experience the food ranged from good to very good.As far as baggage goes, I would suggest that the blame is more yours than HAL's. They are usually very good at communicating information to passengers. Sounds like you are a person that likes to complain and not accept responsibility for your own enjoyment. That is just my opinion and zI could be off the mark on that one. Next time do some research before you choose a cruise line and you might not be as disappointed.
