Great cruise. by paulawood844

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Navigator of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

We just returned and had a great time.  Embarkation at Ft Lauderdale was a long time wait, but everything else was wonderful.  Rudolf (Rudi) our night time waiter was the best as well as the food.  The ship was beautiful and had plenty of things to do.  Getting off and on at the different ports was a breeze.  Overall, I would definitely book another cruise on Royal Caribbean.

Navigator of the Sea/Western Caribbean Cruise by bergerbanker

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Navigator of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Ship was very nice, clean and beautiful.  Only problem was process for getting on and off the ship, too long and disorderly system.  Food was great, entertainment was good, especially the ice show, the comedians and the singer impersonator.

Cruise overall was excellent after the disorganized embarkment. by cealbruder

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Navigator of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Embarkment process was very unorganized primarily due to the way people were lined up. Cruise and destinations were great. Food options were wonderful. All ship personnel were professional and courteous. The valet luggage service for disembarkation was a very pleasant surprise..

Great trip but make sure you have lots of cash!! by jlrod1221

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Navigator of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

This cruise was absolutely fantastic in every way, except the fact that Royal Caribbean definitely either assumes you have a lot of extra money or doesn't think their methods for charging people don't effect your overall experience. We are relatively poor people, but had budgeted enough to pay for the total expenses as well as ensuring we had spending money for the week. Because of the way we were charged, we ended up not having any money after Grand Cayman (the first stop) other than the cash we had left. So we were in an awkward and uncomfortable position during the other two places, and were worried about the money required for transportation and whatnot between getting off the ship and and back home. Turned out Royal Caribbean had double charged me for my drinks package (they returned the extra $350 they had overcharged on day 5 of 6) and had charged my friend $500 in the beginning, then refunded that (again on day 5) only to charge him the appropriate amount after we got back. Which meant that we had been under the impression that we had paid $850 worth of our expenses, and somehow still owed almost $1000 due to their not accounting for my drink package being paid for as well as having refunded the initial $500 they had charged my friend. So our experience was negatively impacted by this system to such a degree that we are considering never sailing with Royal Caribbean again. However, if and when we do decide to take another cruise, we will still book through Cheap Cruises. It will just be with another cruise line, and we'll be more prepared for seemingly disorganized monetary practices.

Had a great time on Navigator of the Seas. The dining room service was awesome. Lots of fun things for the kids to do. The only problem I had was when we got our room charges they didn't give me my 50 royal carribean credit. They said they had jo record of it. We got our credit from . Overall good experience and would do it again.

No Labadee by rohrbachlinda

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Navigator of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

We were unable to go to Labadee and I agree with that decision but I think Royal Caribbean should have had extra entertainment on that extra day at sea which was horrible weather wise.  There wasn't anything to do but spend money in casino or shops and I think they wanted that.

Nice, but not as Nice as expected!!! by SweetD1

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Navigator of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

This was my first time cruising with Royal Caribbean. I've heard so many good things about Royal Caribbean cruises, so I guess I had my hopes up high. The inside cabin was spacious. The food was tasty, but the Main Dining Room needed more of a variety. The staff were great. The entertainment crew was OK. The club played Techno music all night. I guess overall the cruise was alright.  The only issue I had was the fact that due to unforeseen circumstances, we were unable to dock in Labadee, Haiti. This gave us an additional day at sea which is not what we paid for.  To add insult, they refunded us $8 and some cents for not being able to go to Labadee. Really!!! I'm not sure if I would cruise with Royal Caribbean again, but if I do it will not be on Navigator of the Seas.

ups and downs by angelkeim

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Navigator of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

some of the food in the dining room was poor quality, however meals in the windjammer were pretty good, on the two nights we went there instead of the dining room.  Chops grill was good, but if you wanted a porterhouse it was another charge, what a ripoff.  Ribeye not offered at chops grill, only strip or filet for us meat eaters.  Bed was terrible, I'm a side sleeper, I would wake up with a numb shoulder. Room steward put extra padding under sheets, what a great steward.  Staff is great.  Ship is clean.  They canceled private island due to protests, they should of went somewhere else, or given us a credit, or something. Paid for a 3 stop cruise and received 2.  In Falmouth our excursion was canceled due to rain, another let down, but that is not the fault of RCCl.  They didn't do any parades on the main deck like other voyager class ships.  Not enough to do.  I'm a Emarald member with RCCl and I do like this cruise line, but something was missing on this ship.  I like to hear steel drum bands at the pool, not here.  Cruise director is a flop. I have  cruised 24 times, about half with carnival and most of the balance with RCCL.  Needless to,say I booked a 9 day on the same ship because it goes to Aruba, if another ship on this line did the same stops, I would of done a different ship.  This was the first time I couldn't get my table changed, requested a table for four and we had a table for 8 we were a party of 4 and late seating. A table of four 3 feet behind our table, which was empty and not set up for the whole cruise, that really pissed me off.  So much for being a Emerald member.  So all and all, don't be afraid to go, I think we just had a bad week, with weather.  But they really should give you something when they cancel a stop for a non weather related issue.  Have a a Great cruise.

Main dining meals disappointing by anelson1

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Navigator of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

The people on this cruise were excellent, port stops and on-board activities were good. BUT, I think they are pushing special dining too much and the main dining evening meals are far less than expected. The meals presented well but the taste and quality of the seafood, meat, pasta and some soups was very disappointing. We have had more than 8 cruises. This was our first Royal Caribbean and by far our worst main dining food.

Great crew ! by venturet00

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Navigator of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

We just returned from the 8 day Eastern Caribean cruise.  Our cabin was very nice and clean and our cabin steward was great. The dinner in the dining room was hit and miss but we absolutely loved our dining staff. The ship has been refurbished but is still a bit tired in areas. The destinations were all great and there are plenty of on board activities for everyone.

Good times by Cruiser894

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Navigator of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

Navigator of the Seas was a good cruise. I enjoyed the dance classes with Joshua, servers David & Harold at dinner in the dining room. Most shows were good, but the ballroom show was poor. Elvis shows were great! Thoroughly enjoyed the senior tsp dancers. They were very inspiring! The ice show was the best!

Everything was great except the noise level in the stateroom we had chosen by sskibur1

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Navigator of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

We stayed in a Promenade room on the sixth floor (6281).  The room was great but we were above the speakers in the promenade and across from Two Poets bar.  We heard the pounding of bass from 8 am to 11pm to 12 am.  We have stayed in this type of room before but on the 7th floor.  Sound was not an issue in that room.  The service, food and entertainment was very good.

Just ok by zahnja54

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Navigator of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

The amount of time in some ports was not ideal - for example 2 pm-10 pm in s

San Juan and having to be back on the ship by 2 pm on Labadee. We had several maintenence issues in our cabin, although once we reported them they were resolved quickly. The upgrades such as flat screen TVs and interactive systems were great-but the bedding was not as comfortable as higher class ships. Quest game had to be cancelled 2X because the ice rink floor would not close.

Embarkation was very quick - but we arrived around 10:30 am. Debarkation was not well organized. We used self service - leaving at 7:30 am, but found some of the handling of the customs lines to be poor. We were forced into a line that was also used for passengers in wheelchairs - so while the other lines around us proceeded through customs quickly - we waited while one wheelchair passenger after another skipped in front of us. We finally complained and the person directing people forward allowed us to move to another line.

just ok by wlv4ine3

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Navigator of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

I was very excited when this cruise was booked.  We had not been on a Royal Caribbean Cruise since our first cruise in 2003.  We arrived at the cruise port and really didnt have issues getting onto the ship.  Explored the ship and was impressed with the size and decor.  After being on the ship for a few hours, we began to notice the attitudes of most the staff was poor.  Our day at sea was ok at best. There were signs placed outside by the deck that stated no reserving of seats but we notice several seats were roped off for guests, but were barely used.  We also noticed that the buffet and ice cream machines were closed down before 10pm.  The ice cream machines were seldomly maintained.  If you weren't interested in going to the clubs or bars, there really was nothing to do after 10pm.  There was only 3 occasions where the pool tv screen was used for anything other than a screen saver.  The coffee was absolutely horrible and we noticed that the workers never replaced the filters when brewing more.  We found ourselves waiting for the cruise to be over after a few days which is not good considering the money spent.  Also, we were constantly approached by staffing several times daily wanting us to spend more money on the specialty restaurants. We were not able to port in Grand Cayman due to poor sea conditions for tendering.  I understand this happens but at least make an attempt to correct it by maintaining the food and possibly offering activitues during the extra day at sea.  Labadee was a very piss poor experience. Everything is segregated, certain card members had areas roped off.  The only beach for everyone offered no swimming. There were staff that wanted high amounts of money for access to beaches and wanted money for the use of lounge chairs.   An overall poor experience with Royal Caribbean Cruise line . We will only book Princess or Carnival from now on.

Overall great week at sea by prestruds

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Navigator of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Having only cruised once before, and on a different cruise line, we did not know what to expect aboard the Navigator.  We soon found that this ship and its people live up to the image of elegant combined with fun.  The strengths of this cruise were it's impeccable dining room service, stunning Promenade area, and nice cabins.  Areas for improvement were the flow of service at the bars, poolside layout and
