The specialty restaurants (Izumi, Jaimies) were a bit disappointing. The food and ambiance were not as good as we could get on land. I expect specialty restaurants to bring the wow factor. Although the service was excellent. The dining room and buffet were very good.
Onboard Activities

The hot tubs were great because they are large enough to accommodate a lot of people at one time. On Princess 4 people would max out the tub. I went on the two water rides and they were great. Even for an older, overweight, out of shape guy.
Entertainment

The ice show is 5 stars. The other shows are 3 stars. The quality of the entertainers was less than I expected. The cruise director and others who hosted shows and game shows were not well trained in what they were doing.
Service and Staff

Service was excellent. Not that everyone was perfect, but if something needed to be corrected they were on it immediately and made it right.

Everything looked good. Although the exterior paint is looking a bit faded.
No excursions. We spent the day before the cruise exploring Long Beach, and we stayed the night in San Pedro. We would like to have embarked in a terminal rather than a tent.
No excursions. We went to the shops next to the ship. The new building with high end shops was of no interest. We went to the flea market buildings behind the new building and shopped for souvenirs. The are very happy to see cruisers again.
