Western Med June 2009

Sail Date: June 06, 2009

Reviewed: 7 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Balcony

The ship is very nice and very comfortable, it is however starting to show signs of aging. The signs of age are everywhere; cracked floor signs in the elevator, dented trim around the poles, dust inside of display cases, pool bottom needing to repainted. etc. The officers and staff are very friendly and very accomodating, the food was very good.

Pros: Ports of Call

Recommends Navigator of the Seas? Yes!

Palma De Mallorca, Balearic Islands
The cathedral is great
Don't Miss: The 750 year old cathedral
Valencia, Spain
The downtown area is great, beautiful buildings, parks, fountains, etc. The trip to El Saler Beach is not too great, the sand is full of pebbles and the beach is just below the port so it has an industrial look about it.
Don't Miss: Downtown Valencia
Marseille (Provence), France
The marina downtown is beautiful with it's seafood market and the yachts. The downtown area is scenic and easy to walk around.
Don't Miss: The marina,Chateau de Ife in the harbor, Notre dame De La Garde Cathedral
Livorno (Florence & Pisa), Italy
The port itself is VERY commercial and unattractive ,but from here you can get to the Cinque Terre area which is North of Livorno. Don't bother with going to Pisa as it only takes 30 minutes to see and do everything there, look at the tower and leave.
Don't Miss: Cinque Terre (five small villages in the cliffs overlooking the Med). Very cool.
Villefranche-Sur-Mer, France
This is a picture postcard location, a small secluded inlet. Beautiful little town with charming shops, tree lined streets.
Don't Miss: Nice, Eze Village, and Monte Carlo which are all within a short distance of the port.
