Review summary

The travel agent said that this ship had a younger crowd during the summer, even though Oceania's marketing brochures were filled with "wealthy older people" and there were young people on the cruise (45 and below), but the activities were mostly geared for retired people; shuffleboard, bingo, Big-O popint activities, beginning internet classes. the excurisions were not well organized, and if you were not on an excurision, there were no shuttle buses or other types of transportation provided.

Ports of call

Corfu, Greece

Kumquat liquer, look for the the actual producers to buy if you like it. Food is excellent near the square. Remember service is different (slow).
Don't Miss: Wandering the streets

Monte Carlo, Monaco

The palace and old town. Aquarium is nice.
Don't Miss: Seeing the valet parking in front of the casino.

Portofino, Italy

Walked to Santa Margarita, much bigger city. Portofino is quaint, but too small for more than an hour. TAKE THE BUS
Don't Miss: The "penguin" gelatos in Santa Margarita, just off the square.

Venice, Italy

WARNING: THE VENICE PORT AUTHORITY ARE THIEVES. We had Bose headphones and an umbrella taken from our luggage. They are also rude, and unorganized. The Venicians are lovely people; the Guggenheim is a must see if you like contemporary art. Stay at the HOtel Antigue Figure. All the food is great.
Don't Miss: Wandering the streets and eating gelato

Sorrento, Italy

Pompeii, couldn't believe how lush the area was and organized. All the food is excellent. Limoncello, see above warning about purchasing
Don't Miss: pompeii

Marseille (Provence), France

Go to Nice after they have completed their metro construction.
Don't Miss: The soap, EZE

Livorno (Florence & Pisa), Italy

Need more time. All the sites are incredible. Food is great. Sistene chapel is overrated-no picutres, talkling, etc. Prior halls are more spectacular.
Don't Miss: old city, vatican hall of maps

Dubrovnik, Croatia

The old town and walking the wall. Good internet cafe. Lovely people.
Don't Miss: Walking the wall, though lots of steps.
