MSC seem to get a bad rep, however I found with the traditional cruise set up, they were fantastic. Crew engagement was the best yet. We will be definitely looking forward to booking our next with them.
Embarkation

Extremely efficient. So much better than the shambles with P&O. Tip though, the port building is a mobile signal black hole, so we worth doing a screen shot of your NHS Covid pass prior arriving or your be walking around the building for 20 mins like me.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining

Generally very good. Tasty and plentiful. Buffet could be a little more varied. Children choices could be a bit better, but tbf there were limited numbers on board.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
The variety of activities is great for all ages. Outside and indoor pools for the varying weather conditions. The indoor activities were good, generally costing though (f1 simulator etc).
Entertainment

Shows were good. The carousel lounge shows were... unusual, however entertaining. These were an extra charge and included a cocktail.
Children's Programs

Absolute god send. Mini club for our little one was brilliant. Special shout out to Miss Beautiful who our little lady absolutely adored. So a great space for our under 3 to run about, accompanied by us. Looking forward to revisiting with both in the clubs for that well deserved adult rest. The best thing was the varied activities they seemed to do, with the kids not just cooped up in the kids area. Well done to the whole team.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Staff always make or break a holiday, and these crew were a credit to the MSC fleet. Special shout outs to a few though. Shaz in the buffet who our little lady loved taking through her day to every breakfast, lunch and dinner time. The two funny chaps in the english pub, who spent their time entertaining our 1 year with magic tricks, he absolutely loved you guys! In general though, the crew were amazing!
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
New ship so as youd expect. The standard of cleanliness was second to none.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
We had a deluxe balcony stateroom which had plenty of space for 2 adults, one child in the sofa bed and another in a cot. Cabin was spotless every day thanks to our lovely steward for the week. Balcony was on the alcove part which was great for keeping out of the wind.
Ship tip
We originally had a outside, however entered a silent auction to upgrade the room. We won and it was a very cost effective way to move up the room grade. Glad we did in the end with the extra space.
Flamm as always is a beautiful stop. We booked the train ride into the mountains separately as the ships tour was extremely inflated in comparison. We did this online prior boarding.
Short queue, and straight to our luggage and car. Seamless. The only note for the port disembarkations though was getting through security which was extremely slow at times. This was the only criticism, which is a very minor thing.
