If you buy on msc...really study the pricing of all the offered levels. When you start tacking on the different add on packages, it can get pricey. If you are a foody and enjoy variety, this is not the cruiseline for you.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Fastest I ha e ever had embarking. Very organized.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
2 out of 5
I was not impressed on the quality nor the variety of food. The buffet was always the same, mostly sports bar type food. The best on the buffet was the homemade bread. The dinning room portions were extremely small and many if the dishes were not very flavorful. The cruise line seems to push specialty resturants for a good meal.
Onboard Activities
3 out of 5
We did alot of trivia. There was very little variety. We went to join the corn hole activity and it turned out to be a 1 throw for a chance at a msc souvenir.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
They spend most of their money on the stage shows which were wonderful and very professional.
Service and Staff
4 out of 5
Our room steward was a ghost..we never saw him. But, the rest of the service people we dealt with were very friendly and helpfull.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
The ship is extremely clean. They layout was easy to learn.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
The cabin was good and very clean.
Ship tip
Msc has a tier system. The higher your tier the more you have access too. We were Bella which has zero inclusions. So the price appears to be reasonable but with all the add ons it can be very pricey.
There was a medical emergency and the line never moved for around 45 minutes. We were never informed why. Our friends luggage tag was missing so the bag was not with the rest of the luggage. It took us awhile to find someone who knew where the taggless luggage was being held.
Thank you for your review. Yes, the class system on board with addition to the Yatch club, can make way for additional spending the higher up the tier you go.
The things you mentioned are on par with what I've experienced and what many have told me or read on review.
