Review summary

Terrible food, no seasoning. Poor customer service. Long wait times for drinks. Staff ignores you as they barely speak English. Sitting at a bar is pointless, they walk right past you and won’t take your order. So many people complained. Guest services always had a long line. I ordered a birthday cake for my boyfriend and it was extremely disgusting. Waste of money. I will NEVER cruise MSC again. This was a complete downgrade from my recent Royal Cruise. Do yourself a favor, save a little more and cruise with another line. You will be extremely disappointed. A cruise guest waited over an hour for a bottled water at dinner and when it arrived, it was hot. Cruisers were double charged for their drinks as “The cruise drink packages didn’t download before we left the port”. People were denied disembarkation after their system malfunctioned with settling thousands of people’s final bill. This was the worst experience I’ve ever had. Somewhat traumatic. Please beware.

Thanks for your review. I have never cruised with MSC, but I had heard similar complaints about the food ns the service before. This just solidifies my position that MSC is not for me.

Your experience sounds exactly like our only experience with MSC when we cruised on seaside several years ago. I never thought I would say a cruise could be a bad experience, but we hated that. We actually, for the first time in all of our cruises were hungry, because the food was so bad we just didn’t eat it. We actually would get off at port to eat because the food was not palatable on board at all. The service was terrible. I have never had to go to guest services more than maybe once during a cruise, and usually not even that, but was at MSC guest services multiple times daily because they kept messing things up. I had to prove I purchased the drink package, for example. That was a ridiculous experience that took way too long. I did not feel like I was able to relax on this cruise at all. The ship was absolutely beautiful, but the poor management of it ruined the entire experience.
