The first thing that I noticed was the enormity of the ship and the first two days we seemed to be rocking quite a bit. I think maybe because it's such a tall ship and because we were moving at such a quick pace, we were feeling more. I didn't like the safety briefing because (a) there were too many people in one spot so I didn't actually see or hear anything and then we were never told how to get onto a life boat or anything like that. And, we had to wait for every instruction to be given in 5 different languages. It would make more sense to have staggered safety screenings in the auditorium in one language at one time, then another language 20 minutes later, and so on, so that we could actually hear the information.
Embarkation
4 out of 5
A little disorganized but I think just because there were 4,500 people trying to get on the boat at one time.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
The food choices were good but I didn't realize that the buffet wrapped around so we missed out on all the ethnic foods like Mexican and Chinese until the second to last day and then the last day that whole area was cordoned off.
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
There were a lot of activities and we did go to quite a few shows and trivia games and such. They were fun!
Entertainment
4 out of 5
The shows had AMAZINGLY talented people but the only thing that was weird was that it seemed like there was too much jammed into each show. Like, the singing shows still had jugglers and other circus-like acts. I feel like there didn't need to be all that extra stuff in every show but again, super talented folks. The Beer Prov was SOOO much fun.
Children's Programs
I didn't have small children with me.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
All the waiters and staff were very courteous, full of energy and approachable.
Ship Quality
4 out of 5
I was on that ship for a week and am certain there are many, many places I didn't see. For me, the size was a bit overwhelming.
Cabin / Stateroom
4 out of 5
It was a nice cabin. I was expecting small so that was alright. The porthole was large and we enjoyed sitting on the ledge and looking out.
Ship tip
Make sure you're fine with large crowds of people.
I liked how everyone was sent off in groups so it avoided the hundreds and hundreds of people rushing to get out. I just would have appreciated being able to SIGN UP for a time to disembark instead of being told when to go. I would have preferred staying on the ship for another couple hours instead of sitting at the airport for nine hours. We were one of the first groups off.
It is staged this way in case of an actual emergency. Then you would see the same number of people either talking or screaming. All cruise ships have to do this drill before leaving port.
