Review summary

I don't know man. I don't understand how anyone can enjoy this or would wish to subject themselves to it. Spending hours in massive lines to embark and disembark the ship, spending days trapped with nowhere to go with thousands of other people, eating mediocre (at best) food, watching dull entertainment, only getting to spend a few hours at your "destinations" - you barely get to enjoy the new country that you are visiting before you are forced back on ship to do it all over again the next day. I don't get it at all. I was gifted the cruise ticket itself but it sure came with a lot of surcharges. I've never spent so much money to feel so miserable. I would have preferred to just take a giant dump on my money and light it on fire than waste time on this garbage. I would not go another cruise again even as a gift and to top it all off if you are as lucky as me you'll pick up a lovely flu to cap off the nightmare. I think it would be a boon to this world if every cruise ship in existence sank to the bottom of the ocean.

Buffet tasted like cafeteria food. Dinner tasted like slightly better cafeteria food. I bought a $44 bottle of wine that tasted like $13 dollar wine. If you don't have a drink package included in your ticket be ready to spend a lot of money.

Onboard Activities

There is nothing to do on the ship expect eat and drink without spending a lot of money. The ship is basically a massive floating shopping mall filled with rude, pushy people. Note that if you run out of or forget a basic necessity there is no pharmacy or general convenience store on the ship, so good luck! You can buy a bunch of overpriced watches / clothes / jewelry though!!! Be ready to fight for a place to eat and a place to sit outside. FUN TIMES. The spa area was actually quite nice but you need to spend more money to experience that was well.

The only redeeming quality of this prison barge simulator is that the staff and crew were all very nice and polite.

The room was surprisingly comfortable but I'm pretty sure the bathroom was not cleaned once in the 7 days I was on board.

Again, you have thousands of people (often confused people) trying to leave the same place at the same time. It's a mess and it sucks and I'll be happy to never do it again.

I had a different experience but I most say . Your review is the best negative review I have read. Kept me laughing. I'm sorry you didn't enjoy your cruise. It's why I pay extra up front and sail yacht club

You know, if I disliked something as much as you disliked your cruise, I certainly wouldn't take the time to join a message board, create a profile and write a long review about how uninformed you were about cruising. Maybe you should have done some research before boarding or accepting the gifted tickets. There is no shortage of information regarding life aboard a cruise ship. This is a forum for people that love the vacation that you are trashing. If you had nothing to do while on board, that is your own fault. I was on this boat in march of 2018 and like every cruise ship there is a FREE activity kicking off several times per hour. The fact that you chose to ignore your daily itinerary was your choice. There are certainly concessions that one agrees to make when choosing a cruise over a resort stay but fun and relaxation are not among them.

Be thankful for the gift! Tickets don't come cheap. It sounds to me like you are very ungrateful. I was on the MSC Seaside last year and had a great time ( in the Bella experience) and I didn't spend much money either. No need to down the cruise line because it wasnt your "cup of tea".

Outdated decor? The ship is like less than two years old. Even though you were "gifted" the cruise, you could have done a little research ahead of time to see what you were getting into. Just saying..
