Terrible service, Terrible Food and unsanitary practices. Poor training for staff. I was told only 1 person need to acknowledge fire drill only to find out later both needs to acknowledge. My first MSC cruise and my last.
Embarkation

No one to greet me. No photos. Rude staff.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
1 out of 5
Terrible buffet food and workers do not wear gloves. Everyone touches the tongs and drink buttons. Not sanitary. Ate at Teppanyaki Restaurant and food too salty and buttery. Entertainment was 2 guys yelling incoherently. Food needs to be labelled so we know what we are eating. Sanitizing must be mandatory upon entering buffet. Unvaccinated children must wear masks and not run around unsupervised touching everything.
Onboard Activities
2 out of 5
Fitness center is good and modern. Activities were average.
Entertainment
3 out of 5
Shows were repeats as we did back to back cruises. Thats Amore and Mystic Forest were excellent. However, music entertainment were lousy with Amateurs, weak voices and poor song selections.
Children's Programs
No children
Service and Staff
1 out of 5
Room Steward was great. Ship personnel not so. Women excursion staff were rude and I personally witnessed many arguments at the customer service line. It appears that staff are poorly trained and not prepared to diffuse situations.
Ship Quality
2 out of 5
The design was meant to pack passengers. Common areas are clean but ship does not adhere to Covid protocols like serving food to customers or wearing gloves when handling food.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
Its a comfortable cabin and the Stewart Ronald works hard. I commend him as the bright spot on the ship.
Ship tip
Staff on ship makes all the difference in your experience. MSC Seashore staff are mostly terrible, lack training, and rude. My advise is don't sail MSC unless price matters to you. This is my first and last MSC cruise.
Must Understand that MSC is an Italian company and takes to them time to get attached to American Industries so they learn more than 5 languages..Give them another chance I highly Recommended the MSC MERAVIGLIA
I’ve seen that many of the crew on MSC ships are not as fluent in English as other cruise lines. Probably because of the sheer volume of languages they have to deal with as there tends to be a more global set of passengers. It makes them seem rude or dismissive because they simply can’t understand you. Yelling and talking fast doesn’t help. I’m guessing you did a lot of that.
How many languages can you speak?
