I dont think I will travel MSC again unless it is an absolute amazing deal and they are going to ports I have never been to. The communication could have been better about us having to take another covid test mid cruise due to is traveling for 14 days and we had to disembark and embark again. None of which was a hige problem but think it should jave been communicated when booking the cruise
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Wasn't bad at all, we arrived around 10:30 am so the crowd hadn't arrived yet.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
1 out of 5
Very disappointed in dining room and buffet food. This really is one of the reasons I will not go back on MSC. I am not too hard to please when it comes to food and my husband is even easier to please and he was also dissatisfied with the food. We did pay extra for the specialty restaurants which they really hound you to buy during your cruise which got pretty annoying. The food at the Hibachi and Hola Taco was great. I was pleased with my filet mignon and dessert from Butchers but was disappointed with the appetizers.
Onboard Activities

Entertainment
2 out of 5
I felt the nightly shows were just ok. All other cruises I have been on definitely had better entertainment and shows. This is also our 1st time doing a 14 day cruise that was considered a back to back so the entertainment repeated again after the 1st 7 days that was disappointing. I have been on a few 14 days and the entertainment/ shows were different.
Service and Staff
2 out of 5
My room steward was amazing but unfortunately the poor service we received everywhere else on the ship throughout the 14 day cruise pushed me to only give 2 stars. There was nultiple occasions we ordered drinks while at breakfast or lunch and never received them
Ship Quality
2 out of 5
I was not a fan of the ship design. Don't get me wrong it was beautiful but the ship didn't flow like I have been used to on other ships. Could never find a bathroom always has to search even after 14 days. Poor labeling on doors couldn't even tell if the doors were exits. Alot of shattered glass throught ship that hadnt been replaced yet (maybe a supply issue). Elevators were HORRIBLE! I have never seen anything like it. You would have to wait forever for an elevator and by the time it comes there are so many people getting on 1 elevator. This is definitely not good considering covid.
Cabin / Stateroom
3 out of 5
Cabin was normal like any inside cabin on a ship but I have never been in one with such a small bathroom and shower. If you have a few extra pounds taking a shower would be pretty uncomfortable.
Ship tip
Pick a different cruise line. I heard the yacht club is nice on msc if you want to spend the extra money for better service and food maybe it would be a better experience
There island is beautiful I didn't want to leave. Pay attention to food schedule when here. Buffet closes super early. Closed at 2pm both times I was there. Had to go back on ship unless I wanted one of their dry hamburgers or hotdogs from the food truck
Got here at 5pm everything was closing down by 8:30pm and we were there till 1am. Definitely should be docked here during the day so you have activities to choose from
Not bad but slow. Signed up through MSC to take their bus to the airport but that was a disaster (too many people not enough buses) ended up asking for my money back and took a taxi.
Thanks for the review. People either love or hate MSC. I was on MSC for the first time in January and loved it. I found a good variety and quality of food in both the buffet and dining room. It is different than Carnival / Royal Caribbean, which is good, in my opinion.
