Keep in mind this cruise line is new and there are a lot for them to learn before they become a true competitor to the other established cruise lines.
Embarkation

Organizedish but agent needed to ask too many questions of her manager. Wife was at agent station but the Q-line police insisted that I walk the entire empty line and that it would be faster than her allowing me to pass thru the barrier.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
3 out of 5
Dining room food was good though the variety could have been broader. Did not go to specialty restaurants. The buffets food was okay. The salad bar lacked most of the normal ingredients such as cheese. The pizza was very good for thin pizza.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
Many pools on board for all age levels. Plenty of open air decks for relaxing and reading. I went to relax so the other activities did not interest me.
Entertainment
3 out of 5
Same performers different songs all six nights and only lasted 30 minutes each. Singers were great and so were the dancers but when you see basically the same thing six nights in a row … well, it gets old.
Service and Staff
4 out of 5
Everyone was good! … not necessary to say anything else.

Cabin / Stateroom

We had a handicap room. Very spacious, clean and well worth the hassle to get it. Only drawback was at night we could hear other cabins flushing their toilets.
Ship tip
New company in the cruise line business, be patient and know they are not yet up to the standards of the bigger cruise lines.
The MSC building was under construction, should be less hassle when completed. We never figured out which building the MSC ship sailed from which frustrated our Lyft driver.
The ship docked six hours late do to wind and ocean currents. Did not go ashore probably due to a lot of walking required. From the ship, it looked very well build. The lighthouse “light” show was not impressive though.
Ate breakfast first and then leisurely walked off the ship with bags in hand. Booked passage back to airport on site and then waited thru bad weather delay before returning to my home.
They re new form american Market they're an italian brand company, give them time until they reach competition like the bigs cruises lines.
I will sail MSC seashore a new experience and my 1st Msc cruise
Thanks for the review! Glad you enjoyed it and understand the growing pains the company is going through. To clarify some incorrect information on the comments… MSC Cruises begin 1988 (not 1970), cargo shipping company begin in 1970. MSC Cruises currently have 19 ships (not 650+). Lastly, Carnival Cruise Lines began in 1972 so in fact they’re older than MSC Cruises. Are they a ‘new’ line? No, but facts do matter and it’s still a growing cruise line with a lot of opportunity. Plus it’s privately owned so it’s managed differently than publicly owned. Cargo and cruise lines are completely different businesses.
Thanks for the review. People either love or hate MSC. It is a bit different experience than Carnival or Royal Caribbean, but I lived my cruise in January.
Got a question. We are going on the seashore may 21st. Reading your review was very informative. What site or what was your transportation back to the airport. Are cabs or ubers wlaliting at the port?
