MSC is not even close to other cruises I have taken with Carnival, Royal Caribbean or Holland America in terms of service, value and entertainment

clean and comfortable - service man Andy was very nice and provided excellent service throughout the 11 days cruise
Ship tip
Be aware of the hidden costs like daily room service charge per person, paying for water, no water in Gym forcing you to buy water from the bar, no coffee with desert at dinner forcing you to buy coffee or tea
took the excursion to Aix en Provence - Excursion started very late. It was very chaotic and disorganized signing and getting into the right bus. another visit on steroid leaving no personal time to dine or shop. The odd thing about this was that the excursion was half day but we had to be back to the ship 4 hours early prior to departure and the bus would not take us to the city of Marseille for the remaining personal time before the departure.
