Review summary

Two things will prevent us from returning to msc. The no anytime dining. And the rock hard beds. Other than that staff was wonderful food was delicious and ship was beautiful.

We waited in line outside for 3 1/2 hours. We arrived at the Port at our given embarkation time. When we finally got on. They were calling for everyone to be in their cabins for the mustering. They really need to improve this

We were assigned the 8:30 dining time this was just to late for us. They need anytime dining. We did however purchase the unlimited dining package. This was worth it. We ate at the specialty restaurants for lunch and dinner. They were excellent. The only complaint was the 1.5 hr line for reservations. They need to improve on this.

The room was clean but needs more storage, bathroom was a bit small but was adequate. Bed was rock hard

Ship tip

The beds are very hard. If this is a problem pick a different cruise line. We didn't get any sleep because they were way to hard. We would have enjoyed our trip better with sleep

Scooby-Doo I know they have different experiences that if you pay more you can have but that's the thing anytime dining is free on all other lines.also I did not see anytime dining in the experiences just that you could pick the dining time but that is still fixed time dining. I will give you that we did not ask for a matress topper. So maybe it would have been different sleeping. I did not give them a bad review. I thought the staff and ship were wonderful. I just don't think it's for us.

They can add extra mattress toppers. They work and are very comfortable. So that shouldn't be a reason not to sail with them. You can get anytime dining if you book a different experience. They have 4 different experiences and two of them you can eat whenever you want.

Hi fellow cruisers, I was on the Meraviglia in May & can appreciate your feedback, because it’s on point! However, had no issue w/ my bed or stateroom for that matter, but it’s good to know because nothing can ruin your day or a vacation like a bad nights’ sleep. The muster drill was ridiculous. I hope they improve that & use NCL’s process. And speaking of NCL, I love having complete liberty to have dinner whenever I feel like it. So I changed my dinner hour & gave it a”needs improvement” as well. Please don’t get me started on MSCs Embarkation! Nothing annoys me more than wasting good cruising time on nonsense, which should & can be handled better. What is the point of checking in online? Pointless & wasteful. And like you, gave them 4/5 stairs on everything else. I truly hope they are listening. Not sure if they will continue their stay in NYC after September 2024. If they do, I hope they fix what if’s broken.

I completely agree that a hard mattress would ruin my experience too. I wonder if they have mattress toppers they could offer to guests?
