Review summary

I had a good time with my family. I enjoyed MSC private island "Ocean Cay" where the ship stayed for two days. On the second day, we went swimming. There are a few shops on the island but not a wide selection. I liked that the crew provided lunch while on the beach.

I hated that my 2 1/2 year old, potty trained, very vocal grandson was not allowed to participate in the children's activities because he is not 3 years old. What the hell! I had to pay for him to cruise. I was very disappointed.

All the waiters, room stewards, and ship personnel was great. Hats off to Shyam in the wave dining room. He went above and beyond to cater to our special dining needs.

We loved the Meraviglia. We did not take kids with us. FYI...Disney cruise line is the same with he age restrictions for kids (at least they were in 2003 when we went). If they were under 3 they were not allowed to go to the children's activity center. In fact one couple we were with had to pay for a cryiseline babysitter for their 2 year old so the parents could do something

Glad you enjoyed. The Meraviglia is a beautiful ship and Ocean Cay is my favorite private island.
