Overall very disappointing. Although we enjoyed the shows and entertainment, between the sewage smell and the terrible experiences throughout the week we are not likely to cruise with MSC again. One thing I would add is that compared to other cruises, there was little information about the excursions. The TV showed lots of pictures but not what excursion would take you to the places you see. There was no meetings in advance about the various excursions or details. This could have been handled much better. The WORST part of the ports is that there was an additional charge to take the shuttle to town! I have never had to pay for this before-and it was expensive at that!

Food and Dining
1 out of 5
Dining room food was good other than the lobster that we ordered for an extra charge and it was like rubber. We had to return it. The buffet was basically the same every day and poor quality. There was no organization and a lot of pushing and shoving while standing in line. There was an older man at the bar on the pool deck that made it very clear that he didn't want to serve women and would literally ignore them while serving other men that came to the bar after I did. Throughout the week, I met several other women that had the same experience with him.
Onboard Activities

Wanda and Pedro were great dance instructors and the pool deck games and entertainment were fun!
Entertainment

Service and Staff

The housekeeping staff was excellent, but, as I mentioned above, the bartender had a serious issue.
Ship Quality
1 out of 5
The layout was good, but we had a serious issue with a sewage problem in the corridor that led to my room. We had gone several times to guest services and we were told that they were aware of the problem and were working on it, but was a problem all week. For what we paid, I don't feel that having to smell sewage all week as acceptable. Additionally, the windows on the pool deck were so filthy that it really spoiled the views.
Cabin / Stateroom

The cabin was okay but there was no place to sit (couch or chair) and no safe as we were told there would be.
Ship tip
I have been on 15+ cruises and based on my experience, you can get more for your money elsewhere
We had a plane to catch and was told that if we carried our own luggage, we could be in the first group getting off. When we went to the disembarkation point, the crew stopped us and refused to let us carry our luggage off. We had to wait for the to take our luggage from us and bring it down causing a 30+ minute delay. On top of it all, they were rude to us when we explained what we were told. The one gentleman said "you can try to walk off the ship with your luggage but I will make sure they stop you at the next exit point!"
