Review summary

All in all we had a pleasuarable vecation with some major and minor issues. I would not sail on this ship again.

Embarkation

3 out of 5
We stood in line as expected when all of a sudden, someone came out and told us there was an issue and we had to walk to the other end of the pier to get on board. If we were standing in line longer or if were were disabled or elderly, it would have been more of a problem. Either way, stuff happens but they should have backup systems in place when boarding thousands of passengers.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

2 out of 5
Very disappointed. The food was way too salty and the portions were small. On two occasions, we noticed the linens were stained and the bread basket had been half eaten probably by the previous seating. Even though they asked me how I wanted my steak cooked, it came out overcooked and had to be sent back. When we complained about all of these issues, they immediately addressed these issues, but by then you are very disappointed.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
The pools were crowded and it was almost impossioble to find a seat, let alone a lounge chair, especially on days that were spent sailing to the next port.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
I believe all of the performers poured their hearts into their work, but the shows left a lot to be desired.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Every single interraction with the staff was excellent. They were all very welcoming and professional in appearance. They all smiled when they intereacted. Excellent crew.

Ship Quality

2 out of 5
The ship is old and dated, especially the carpets and drapes. They were stained and were in serious need of replacement.

Cabin / Stateroom

2 out of 5
The bed was compfortable, the room was cleaned every day in a timely maner, and the linens replcaed daily (for the most part). The bathroom sink was chipped and cracked and should have been replaced.

Ship tip

Keep your expectations lower if you have sailed on the newere MSC vessels.
