Had a good time and most things were good. Overall, MSC has a ways to ho until they reach the level of Royalcaribbean, Celebrity, Princess or Holland America
Embarkation

Fast and easy. Parking lot to onboard in 15 minutes
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
Most of the food is good. It's better on Divina than we've had on other MSC ships
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
Usually always something to do
Entertainment
4 out of 5
Performers in the theater are excellent. Various musicians at other venues are also very good
Service and Staff
4 out of 5
Room steward and servers in MDR were great. All are friendly and strive to offer good service. Only issues that happened several times in various bars and in MDR is the language barrier. On most cruiselines that leave from the US, staff can speak and understand English. On this cruuse several times we received wring orders, or even hot coffee although we asked for Iced coffee. The servers would repeat the orders back and still get it wrong. Happened in several drink orders at the bars as well. Not a bug deal, we would either consume what we were given or dump it and reorder at a different bar.
Ship Quality
3 out of 5
Ship desperately needs a full refurbishment. Lots of rusted areas, broken tiles, mirrors, stained and worn carpets etc. Windows were so filthy around the ship that you literally couldn't see through them.Divina is our favorite MSC ship. The crew did the best that they could to maintain and keep most areas clean. On many occasions the public restrooms were filthy!
Cabin / Stateroom

Very small. But everything worked and our room steward kept everything clean and stocked. Tiny TV bit we don't really watch it anyway
Worst part of the cruise. Complete chaos. Ship was delayed 1 hour due to a mechanical issue. Not a big deal at all. However we were told to wait in the piano bar until our number 5 was called. Not only were there approximately 200 passengers in there packed in like sardines, many sneezing and coughing, but there were no seats. We are in our 60s, my mom is 87, we stood against a wall for 3 hours and 15 minutes until our number was called. On top of this, MSC felt this Piano Bar would be a great location to further add another hundred or so passengers that were waiting for a Miami excursion. So after we were finally called to disembark we made our way through the terminal which took another hour. So it was a 4 plus hour disembarkment. In over 55 cruises this was the most uncomfortable and logistically screwed up disembarking we've ever experienced. Some of these issues were our of MSCs control, however MSC could have made things alot more comfortable and safer for their passengers while they waited. So after finally getting off the ship our driver that we had prepaid to pick us up at at 930 am had been waiting since 830 am and had to leave for another pickup. We can't receive a refund since he drove from palm beach county to pick us up and waited more than 4 hours at the terminal. So we had to Uber home to West Palm Beach for another $230.
