I loved the ports for this cruise but would not suggest this cruise line. The employees are not happy and it shows in their customer service. I also was just not a fan of the food selections. I've been on 5 other cruises (Norwegian, Celebrity 2x's, Carnival and Royal Caribbean) and they all had far better food selections. I also prefer anytime dining, instead of being locked into a late time. The Divina had many things to do but again all the other cruise lines had even more. The Cabin was by far the nicest/roomiest cabin and we always do a balcony. For us it's worth the extra $$ because we spend a lot of time out on it having coffee or watching the sunset/sunrise or just reviewing the events for the following day.
Embarkation
3 out of 5
We arrived around 3 and apparently there had been issues earlier in the day. The earlier issues created a large line to wait for for processing. The line flowed well so it wasn't a huge ordeal but the staff working the check in had the worst attitudes I've ever seen in any customer service position. One girl in particular would not call up the next passenger and would put her chin on her hand and just make faces like she hated her job. The young lady that processed us never even said hello to us. The only thing she said was "picture" when she pulled out to take our picture for our stateroom cards. She literally spoke one word to us throughout the entire check in. We tried being pleasant to no avail.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
3 out of 5
The dining choices were very limited. Without paying extra for specialty dining, you had the choice of the main dining room or the buffet or a few snack items in the sports lounge. The main dining room wasn't too bad but we had an 8:30p seating and for us it was just too late, which left us most nights in the buffet. The buffet was average at best.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
The went to the fitness center daily and it was always open early (before 6:00am) and there is a wide variety of equipment.
Entertainment
4 out of 5
Good variety! Stage shows were decent. Lounge performers were above average. There seemed to be something always happening. If you were bored, it was because you wanted to be.
Children's Programs
No children and we were there to enjoy adult time. We personally try to take our trips when we think there will be fewer children.
Service and Staff
1 out of 5
With a few exceptions, this was the worst service we have ever received upon a cruise ship. Employees ALL seemed disgruntled. Customer service was non existent. The biggest exception was our room steward who was wonderful. The pool bars were the absolute worst!! I waited for over 30 minutes at one point before I was waited on and this was when there were only a couple of people waiting with me. We were just ignored while the bar tender piddled around and never even acknowledged us.
Ship Quality

The Devina is a beautiful ship.
Cabin / Stateroom

Overall our room was very nice. Plenty of storage, clean and spacious (as spacious as a cruise cabin can be) and our steward kept our room clean and stocked!
Ship tip
Go on another cruise line, the service was atrocious! I really don't expect much more than an acknowledgement and a smile would be nice.
We went took a cab to a national park and did a self guided hike. After the hike we visited the visitor center and stayed and talked to the owner and a couple of locals for a while.
Beautiful!! We did the Eco Tour and Snorkel excursion. I'd highly recommend. We took a boat all around the island and snorkeled. The tour included lunch and drinks.
This is my 3rd time to St. Kitts and I've done something different every time. This time we walked out of port and a tour company grabbed us and signed us up for a tour an the Big Banana Bus and it was so much fun. We toured the island in an open air bus and then spent 2 hours at the beach. The guide was so full of energy and a ton of fun!
What a fun island!! So much going on. I would like to return and spend at least a week there. We did the 40 mile bike ride excursion and it's not for everyone. I LOVED it but it wasn't easy. The island is full of hills and it was tough but so rewarding.
The disembarking could only be described as chaos. We needed to be off the ship early, and apparently so did all 4000 passengers. We lined up at 6:30 for a 7:00 am disembarkment and we were about 500th in line. This wasn't terrible and we got off in about an hour but by the time the doors opened the line wrapped halfway around the ship to the casino where there were just hundreds of people with no line or direction and then the line started again back out of the casino and back the way it started.
