Review summary

Overall we are very impressed with the MSC Yacht Club experience. We are definitely going to go on another MSC cruise. There are some very small issues MSC could approve on. The Thermal suites in the spa were very nice, but, should have water provided. After going into the sauna and steam rooms you literally had to leave the area to find water to re-hydrate. There was also a large group onboard that dominated the specialty restaurants. Maybe MSC could work out a policy for this as the majority of passengers could not experience them. It was frustrating and disappointing. These are the only negative issues we had. Over all a great experience.

Embarkation

Escorted right up the check in and lounge as promised. From there escorted directly up to the suite.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Always something available. Wonderful food in the restaurant. We could not however get into any of the specialty restaurants because of a large group who took them over.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
There were a lot of activities on board. Fitness center was great. Thermal suites were relaxing. Shows wonderful. An adult pool plus another pool that had a retractable roof for bad weather.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Shows were nice. Lots of variety. Because they are an Italian company, they especially excelled in the Opera department. The Michael Jackson show was also very entertaining.

Children's Programs

5 out of 5
From what we saw they really did a nice job in keeping the kids active. Even used the kids as show openers a couple of times. They looked like they were having a great time.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Top Notch. Everyone excelled at their job.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Always had people working on making sure everything was clean and well maintained. Hats off to their overnight crew too. They did a fantastic job.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Nice cabin with a nice balcony. Marble bathroom. Only issue was the shower. Water was very hot so had to check it. It was more of a European shower so rather basic with shower head you can take off and use as a body spray.

Ship tip

The buffet areas are popular during sea days and can be busy. Plan on that. Food is great. Hot food can get cold if you have to wait for a seat. Get a table first, beverages next and food last. That way it will be hot for you.

Ports of call

Miami, Florida

Just drove in and out. The baggage claim area could have been organized a bit better.

St. John's, Antigua Did not visit port

Due to hurricane the ship did not go here.

San Juan, Puerto Rico Did not visit port

Due to Hurricane the ship did not go here.

Nassau, Bahamas

Not one of my favorite cruise stops. It is a walkable port. Once you have been there a couple of times it loses its charm.

Disembarkation

3 out of 5
Everything was fine leaving the ship. Going into the customs area gets chaotic. Bags are not taken off the bag belts, so it takes some time finding them.

I someday will do an MSC cruise, and it will definitely be in a Yacht Club cabin. Treated so special! Glad you enjoyed.
