Review summary

We were disappointed with the food and entertainment compared to what we've had with other cruise lines. We also brought our family on their first cruise and would have liked them to have had a better food and entertainment first experience.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Very smooth process with no issues

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Overall we found the food disappointing. There was a lack of variety and overall quality in in both the dining room and buffet.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
The ship offers many pool areas which also included hot tubs.

Entertainment

2 out of 5
This cruise entertainment lacked in variety and talent. Very disappointing.

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
Overall the staff and service were fine. Our cabin steward was really good but most staff didn't seem to go that extra mile we sometimes experience on cruises.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
The ship lacked accommodations for handicap passengers. None of the doorways are open and none open automatically. All doors require being pushed/pulled which is difficult for handicap passengers. Even our handicap stateroom hand manual doors. There were not designated seating for handicap in the buffet areas.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Great handicap accessible room! Doors were manual and the shower and accessories weren't easily accessible from the built in shower seat.

Ship tip

Enjoy your vacation!

We’ve been on Carnival, Norwegian, Princess, Royal Caribbean, Costa, Holland America and most recently MSC. First time we’ve been this disappointed.

I know what you mean. We took one MSC after Holland America, Royal Caribbean and Celebrity over the years and the food was not up to par. No more of my cruise dollars for them! We've just discovered Princess and we're pretty pleased.
