overall - I would cruise with MSC again without hesitation
Embarkation
5 out of 5
smooth with no troubles at all
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
The choices got a little boring after a while, but the availability of food at all times of the day was good. Wish there were more water and juice machines in other areas of the ship as you had to walk all the way to the back to get water. The bars do not offer simple ice water to the customers if you don't have a drink package.
Onboard Activities
3 out of 5
not enough activities - really wish there were comedy shows. The theatrical shows were very good :) the water splash park was under construction the majority of the cruise, but opened up on the last day
Entertainment
5 out of 5
The entertainers did great work! A different show every night :)
Children's Programs
5 out of 5
My 16 year old son thoroughly loved the Teen Club for ages 15-17 and the director of the club Dan - thank you for keeping my teen entertained!!
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
The staff was all very helpful, accommodating, cheerful, and HARD WORKING!!!
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
I had no issues with the design other than wishing there were more areas to get a glass of water when needed. The ship was always quite clean.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
It was exactly as we expected. Everyone would wish for a little more space, but it was our sleeping quarters....we expected the small space, accepted the small space, and enjoyed the ship and cruise.
Ship tip
Take part in all the picture opportunities. Take part in all the theater shows. TAKE PART in anything that interests you and Take Part in things that Don't Interest you! GET INVOLVED and have fun!
The locals were extremely pushy here - we were even threatened by a local who wanted us to take a taxi with him. We opted to walk a distance away from the port and then a taxi pulled over and picked us up and took us to a distant beach for a couple hours and generously agreed to come back and get us, waited for us, then took us all over the island like a tour guide for $2.50 per person each way. Not my favorite port though because
we walked 2 blocks to the library and grabbed a taxi for $2.50 per person and went to 7 mile beach - nice, but nothing is "free" - should have just went to Eden Rock and snorkeled for free and then enjoyed the port area shopping more
The port area is JAM PACKED with shops, entertainment, dolphins - but we grabbed an open air trolley to the beach for $4 per person and LOVED it at this beach area - chairs were free, they offered free margaritas and the shopping was very casual and authentic - very very scenic A++++
