great cruise by AuroraD

Ship: Mariner of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Expensive drinks, too many tips involved. Not a good value for what you get, particulary in mediocre food

The overall experience was awesome. We have been on many other cruise lines and Royal Carribean was by far the best.

Great Time by SusanM33

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Mariner of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

The ship was beautiful. Very large with many public areas. The "Sound of Music" dining room was especially dramatic. Everything was clean and beautifully maintained. I loved that the pool area had been designed by an artist. It brought a lot of whimsy and charm to that deck. The theatre was comfortable. It was never difficult to find a seat and Studio B was a great place to watch not only the ice show, but all of the crazy contests that our shipmates participated in. Studio B was very high tech and colorful.

A relaxing vacation! by BillJ3

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Mariner of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

This was our second voyage on the Mariner of the Seas. This ship offers more amenities than any one person can take in in a normal 7-day cruise. In spite of the very large guest capacity (approximately 3,500 travelers), the ship is very spacious and does not give the traveler the feeling of being in a crowd. The additional dining options (Portofinos, Choppes Grille, etc.) provided a great change (although we were not as impressed with Choppes as we expected). The shows were great, particularly the Ice Show, and once again Royal Caribbean exceeded our expectations.

A wonderful experience by NinaA3

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Mariner of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

This was our first crusie and will be the begining of many more to come. It was a wonderful experience. Mariner was like a beautiful city on the ocean. The room was very nice with a lot of storage area and great space with a nice size balcony. The ship aminities were state of the art. The theatre was the very best I have been to lately. There was so much to do and see on the ship that we did not want to get out on the ports. The kid's program was very good and kept my nine year old son entertained while he made some friends. They even had a talent show for the kids. The shows they had every night were first class musical, comedy or entertainemnt games. It was fabulious. The food was great. it was available 24 hours and all you could eat, anything you wanted. The staff were very curtious, pleasant, helpful, kind and fun. They had wonderful shopping on borad with a lot of great values. The art auctions were great and very educational, fun and entertaining. All and all it was Fantastic. I highly recommend it to everyone. We are planning our next 2 crusies to Alaska and Transatlantic.

Overall, this was the best cruise I have been on as far as wonderful service, food and dining options and ease of boarding and disembarking. The cruise staff was great and the entertainment was excellent. I will definately be cruising with Royal Caribbean again.

Cruise to Paradise by JoyceW2

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Mariner of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

The Mariner of the Seas is a gorgeous ship. It is intelligently laid out with all of the amenities one's heart could desire. The Promenade is especially impressive with beautiful boutiques, a coffee bar, ice cream parlor, and wine bar. The exercise program is wonderful for those who want to attempt to stay in shape on their cruise, with a fantastic gym and exercise program. This was our fourth Royal Caribbean cruise and our children have never been disappointed by their kids program. For those who want to lounge by the pool 24/7, there is plenty of deck space and lounge chairs, not to mention several beautiful pools and whirlpools. Our children loved the ice skating and rock climbing. Basically, there is something for everyone on Mariner of the Seas!

A Great First Cruise by LorraineS3

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Mariner of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

This was our first "family" cruise. Mom, Dad and 6 kids - age ranging from 4-19 yrs old. The Mariner of the Seas has something for everyone. The youngest loved Aquanauts. She wanted to go to the kids club the minute she woke up in the morning, regardless of what we were doing. The older teens enjoyed the shows and the middle teens liked the dodgeball tournament and ping pong tournaments. My husband and I enjoyed the shows, the food was fabulous and we used the workout facilities which were great. The ship was spotless, and the service was absolutely superior. I can't wait to cruise again. As a mom, it was truly my first "real" vacation with the kids. I didn't do any laundry, cooking or washing dishes for a week!!!

The ship was beautiful! and the size of the ship was incredible! This was my first cruise but definently not my last. Cruising is the only way I want to travel now. Royal Carribean is the best. I can't imagine a better cruise line. The staff was great. the cruise director made me want to cruise again because she was so personable and funny.

SHIP was absolutely amazing. I have been on 14 Royal Caribbean cruises and by far, this was a wow. We had an inside stateroom but seemed bigger than usual. Best trip ever! Can't go wrong with sports fun (basketball, arcade, golf, putt putt, ice skating (yes, ice skating) and so much more. Food was amazing, even had a Johnny Rockets on board

The perfect family vacation! by TerenceA

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)

Service Galore! we were treated like royalty, the food, the rooms, the excursions were all better than expected! We started the cruise with two grouchy teenagers and they found friends immediately- the teenage programs, with sports and games made the cruise the best experience for them, and we found alone time for us!

A Fantastic Voyage by KellyM61138561

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Mariner of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

From the moment we boarded the ship we were greeted with warmth, and any assistance we needed. The food was excellent, and we cant say enough about the service. Our state room attendant, our wait staff were excellent along with everywhere we went on the ship. The cruise director was the best yet, she was energentic and made everyone feel like family. She kept the energy going at all the activities. We booked 2 excursions, which were both great! The Royal Promade Deck was full of life and a great place to meet people. The ship was beautiful andkept impecably clean. We had a balcony room which was very enjoyable. There were so many activities we just couldnt get them all in our day. We went to the ice show, and the regular shows which were all very entertaining. We would definately do this one again, and met many people who were repeats on this ship.
