Review summary

This was the worst experience I have had on ANY cruise ship. I will make it a point to tell everyone about our experience and make sure to put up as many reviews as I can to stop other people from making the same mistake. 1. We had scheduled and excursion for 12:30 pm for a tour at the Bahamas on Saturday. When we got to our rooms on Thursday we had the tickets in our room. The time was for 8:00 am. When we noticed the mistake we went to talk to guest services. We waited 30 minutes in line to get our tickets corrected. When we got to the desk we were told we needed to show proof of the time we had booked. We got off line and got my sister’s phone with the email receipt showing the 12:30pm time. We waited another 20 minutes in line. When we finally got to the counter guest services said we do not offer this time so you can either get a refund or go to the 8:00am tour. It was impossible to make an 8:00am time because my sister who is very disabled needed two people to get her out of bed and ready for the day which takes about 45min. We got a refund for the excursion. So we lost an hour of our day going to guest services that didn’t even offer the time of the excursion we paid for and booked which by the way the time still shows available on the website today. I suggest if you don’t offer it to take it down and not let people pay for it. 2. We registered for ice skating. When you got to the ice skating rink at the scheduled time you still had to wait an hour and a half before you could skate. What is the point of the registration? 3. We registered for laser tag. When we got there we were told our entire group could not play because of the broken equipment. We decided to have half our group play so they would not miss out but we were told it would be at least 2 hours before they could play. What was the point of registration? 4. We had booked an escape room for our family at least 3 weeks earlier. My sister who is very disabled could not do almost anything on this cruise. She could not get off at the Bahamas, she could not go in the swimming pools, beach water, any sport activities, etc. we scheduled the escape room because it was the one thing we could all do as a family. We scheduled it for 10:00 on Sunday. Sunday morning at about 8:30 there was a note on our door saying the escape room was having issues and they needed to move our time until 9:00am or 10:45pm. First if they were having problems with the escape room how would it be possible to move us an hour earlier? Either way since we got the notice at 8:30 it was impossible to make the 9:00 time since it takes over 45 minutes to get my sister ready. So I went down to customer service and explained the entire situation. They said you can get a refund and I explained I didn’t want a refund we wanted to do the activity. The guest service woman named Andrea said she could get us in at 6:30. We were not thrilled but wanted to do it so we said ok. We went to Santoge who helped us with dinner and made sure he could fit us in at a later time because this interferes with dinner. He was able to work around it (he was awesome). At 5:45pm that night we get a notification letting us no they cancelled our 6:30pm escape room because of issues. We could either get a refund of do it at 10:45 at night. We again went down to the desk and waited for the activities director Orlando. We explained the situation and told him it would be impossible to do the 10:45 session because it would be midnight before we were done and then at least 45 minutes to put my sister to bed plus we had to get out of the rooms by 8 in the morning because it was our last day. Orlando said he would have to talk to the guest relations person as there was never any 6:30pm appointments available. Orlando said he would bump the 10:00pm people and would be at the escape room to help us at 9:45 with a manual wheelchair. We again went to the Santage and had him switch our dinner reservation back. We showed up at 9:45 and Orlando was not there. The people that were going at 10 were there. We were very frustrated as it was super awkward with all of us being there. They didn’t want to go at 10:45 and we couldn’t so it got very weird. Finally Orlando showed up and said he would bump them but at that point it was super uncomfortable. Those people should have been notified they were getting bumped at 5:45pm that night when we talked to Orlando not when we are all waiting together and they are upset with their reservation. At this point the people with the reservation are upset and so are we, so we decided to let it go and left. Over all we booked an event 3 weeks prior which I am sure we were the earliest and we are the ones that could not do it. We waited on line at customer service at least 3 times for awhile, changed our dinner reservation twice and planned activities around the escape room which never happened. We are still currently waiting for a refund for the escape room which is close to $400 dollars. This was a day we were all looking forward to which was completely ruined by the staff’s inability to correct the mistakes they made. Not to mention the time we spent trying to get everything corrected. It really was unfair and not nice. Additionally, it caused a lot of frustration when we should have been having a great time. I can’t say how disappointed I am with this cruise line and how they really impacted our vacation for the worst. This was supposed to be a great vacation and it turned out to be very disappointing. A couple other things for future disabled people. The piano in the elevator was not good as a wheelchair could not fit in and a disabled person would have to wait a longer time. The escape room did not have an elevator to the 15th floor. You could go to the 14th and then there was a chair lift. My sister has severe muscle weakness which is why she is in a wheelchair chair. It would have been difficult to get her in the chair lift (we could have done it but very hard). This should have been noted on the information about the ship. The towel bar in the handicap room above the toilet was not a good idea because if you have a lift the bar constantly gets in the way or hits the disabled person in the head.

Guest services was awful. Waited in line for very long periods of time with out them helping when getting up to the desk. The staff lies to you so they don’t have to deal with any confrontation or fix’s mistakes they have made.
