Review summary

Some guests were a little challenging, but if you are young and a first-timer, it's all good. If you're older and a little more intolerant, this may not be for you. Overall, a nice mix of guests. For a weekend cruise, it's perfect, and we will go again. Need to fix the spa location (soundproof it or something). Ice show is terrific! Add another craps table and have a freebie one afternoon were people learn using play money and win a prize. Take out some slots to open up the space in casino because its sooooo crowded in there.

Skip Chops. It can't touch Ruth's Chris in Capital Grille. Main dining food and service were good. ...especially service!

Enjoyed adults only solarium, but... The ship's design puts children's or fitness area over top of spa, which makes for a very noisy and unrelaxing spa experience.

Entertainment

Played Majority Rules and attended ice skating, and both were great fun. Played trivia twice. The host makes the difference. First host-very competent. Second host-worst experience ever. He even insulted guests, "I've been doing this for two years, and I never had audience complain like this!" Too fast. Poor English. Lack of knowledge of era of tunes, etc., etc., etc. Many guested were irate.

Service and Staff

We've had better cabin stewards in the past, but he did his job. Santos @Chops was the saving grace of the experience since food sucked. Jose and Vijay and the assistant waiter were all awesome. In fact we left an additional tip first them. Vijsy even brought samples of Indian food for us to sample. Delish!

See above about layout. I will skip spa next time because pounding and noise competes w/relaxing music of spa experience.

Balcony needed sprucinv up, but overall great first cruise price. If we paid $550/pop., we would have been pissed.

Ship tip

Good time of year to go even at risk of cooler temps. Plenty to do regardless. Get rid if the "Pig Semi" tour. They were late, disorganized, disrespectful of guests by taking a frw in a special, faster boat, leaving the rest of us Schleps to take a slow ferry. This tour ran over an hour late each way, and then they didn't allow pictures, gouging guests $79 for a group picture flash dative, which was actually unavailable after the 30 min. "Swim" which was actually just a photo shoot. Fatm hands were nice enough, but overall a rip-off!
