A Great Cruise

Sail Date: December 24, 2006

Reviewed: 6 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Balcony

This was our first cruise and we were very excited about it. The experience was wonderful and very entertaining. The staff was outstanding. The excursions were very fun and enjoyable. Our only disappointment was evening dining. The food tasted as if it came from a cafeteria, thin steaks, soggy potatoes and overall not pleasing at any of the settings. Shows were excellent, always something going on around the ship. Barring the meal at night this was a great trip!

Pros: The Staff of the Mariner

Cons: Evening Dinner

Recommends Mariner of the Seas? Yes!

Cococay (Cruiseline's Private Island)
It was nice and relaxing to sit and bathe in the sun the first day on shore. The snorkeling was very good. We enjoyed it.
Don't Miss: Snorkeling
Philipsburg, St. Maarten
We signed up for the beach party. It was fun with the Europeon flare. A bit crowded.
Don't Miss: The aircraft landing at the airport over the beach!
Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas
The trip to St. John's was a blast! We did not spend any time touring St. Thomas. Maybe next time.
