Had a great time

Sail Date: June 10, 2007

Reviewed: 9 years ago

Traveled As: Family (young children)

Room Type: Inside

The ship was beautiful and had something for everyone *including a library and a 24 hr cafe. Keep in mind, it is a better ship for those who are willing to wait and walk. The only negative I can think of is that too many handicapped folks drove those motorized "jazzy" scooters. I saw people pinned inside elevators (literally), one formal dress was ripped when one rolled onto the dress ripping it. I know accomodations are made for all types of people, but I really feel it was at the expense of others. Perhaps non motorized wheelchairs would be more in keeping with crowds and other passengers.

Pros: the ship had a library, and St Maartin is just like a postcard

Cons: ship was packed with people....entirely full, lots of teenagers and handicappers with jazzys

Recommends Mariner of the Seas? Yes!

Food and Dining
not the quality or variety we have experienced previously, but certainly no one will go hungry
Ship Quality
Cabin / Stateroom
We had a promenade stateroom that overlooked the grand promenade. It gave us great views night and day.
Service and Staff
Entertainment
Children's Programs
The best in variety and quality
Philipsburg, St. Maarten
Loved it , loved it , loved it!!!!
Don't Miss: shopping....not crowded at all
Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas
Four cruise ships in port on the day we visited including the Mariner's sister ship (2 ships 7k people) It made the post
Cococay (Cruiseline's Private Island)
We didn't do the optional activities but had a great day on the beach. Kids can use battery operated Jeeps on a trail.... great fun.
