Review summary

Shortest cruise we've taken but one of the better ones, mostly because of the two new-to-us Greek ports. Staff overall was great, food superb. We always pick our fave specialty restaurant of the cruise - this time it was Jacques for the first time! Great job, people!

Embarkation

I think it was the fault of the Port and not O, but embarkation began an hour late, by which time the line was HUGE. The O check-i

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Specialties superb, the rest seemed off just a bit from previous O cruises

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Other than eating, we prefer the off- board activities- but the gym is great and not at all crowded

Entertainment

We’re always too tired after a long day ashore and a fabulous meal

Children's Programs

No kids on this cruise

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Room steward was a bit sub-par but waitstaff went way above & beyond. There was nothing they wouldn’t do for us - try small portions of two entrees? Sure, no problem!

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Can’t wait to see Marina redone like Rivier, especially stateroom bathrooms

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Great, only problem is we e already sails on Riviera and love the refurbish. So much more storage, great shower.

Ship tip

Take the stairs (not elevator) so you can try more desserts!

Ports of call

Barcelona, Spain

Just gets more crowded every year. Nice that we embarked at the WTC but port workers an hour late caused chaos

Marseille (Provence), France Did not visit port

Oh lucky us we got to stop at Palamos instead (sarcasm)

Monte Carlo, Monaco

4 out of 5
Always interesting

Civitavecchia (Rome), Italy

4 out of 5
Did the excursion to Tolfa and really enjoyed it (went to Rome itself after the cruise)

Amalfi, Italy

5 out of 5
After 3 cruises skipping Amalfi we finally made it! Ing with thousands of European Spring Breakers

Taormina, Sicily

5 out of 5
If you take the Hop On Hop Off bus from the port, do NOT get off! You’ll never get back on and they’re BOT nice about it! We ended up taking a cab back, still love Taormina!

Argostoli, Kefalonia, Greece

5 out of 5
Absolutely fell in love with the port! Went on the caves excursion and it was amazing, much bigger than we expected and took lovely pics on the lake boat ride

Igoumenitsa (Meteora), Greece

5 out of 5
The bus ride to the monasteries was 3 hours each way (they’ll say it’s less) but absolutely worth it. Felt like James Bond.

Kotor, Montenegro

5 out of 5
After the 2 previous days we found t climb all the way to the fortress but got incredible photos from halfway up

Split, Croatia

Had an attempted pickpocket in Diocletians Palace. Watch your bag.

Venice, Italy Did not visit port

Disembarked in Trieste instead, which was fine. Been to Venice plenty of times.

Disembarkation

So easy, lots of cabs waiting

Your command to Marseille is quite right. We also hate this port of call.
