Be prepared for the number of people in scooters. The elevators are so small that one scooter will severely limit the number of people who can also use the elevator. We saw several people in scooters when boarding and saw them later walking easily without the scooters. But come time to disembark, there they were, "helpless" in their scooter again. I won't sail on the Mardi Gras again or on any of the XL class ships. Too many people for our taste.

Be aware of the scooters everywhere. There were 6000 people or seems so. It was super crowded and a lot of waiting in line. The best time we could actually breathe a sigh of relief was when most people left the ship in Nasau. We stayed on and was way less crowded and could actually find a chair around the pool.

I'd suggest taking a mini tour on the first day to get familiar with all the ship has to offer. It's a spectacular vessel with so much to see and do. You want to make sure to take it all in.
