Great ship almost too much available to do. If you do not enjoy this ship it is your own fault.

We sail a lot (115 to date) and on all the major cruise lines including Cunard. Carnival is no longer the party cruise line with the low quality reputation it once had. Mardi Gras is a great ship especially when they are sailing fully staffed with excited, healthy, rested & happy crew. This, our 4th time on Mardi Gras, was disappointing for the reasons I stated earlier in my review. The biggest disappointment was the lack of entertainment & proper staffing levels even at lower guest capacity. We still had a good time but not the AMAZING times we had on the prior 3 cruises. We have no issue with seeing shows & entertainment we have seen several times before when they are good but when they cut back to the point when there is not much going on, it's not good especially for their latest & supposed, greatest ship. I do not expect to be entertained 24/7 but in the evening hours they had at least 3 live bands wuth vocalists each and every evening. There is no library on the Mardi Gras so be sure to bring your own. I understand that Carnival & all cruise lines are losing money & need to cut back during these difficult times. We will be canceling upcoming cruises until things are better.

Would I do this cruise again? Absolutely! Already booked another.

We loved the Mardis gras. It was well below capacity due to the current covid environment, so the lack of lines may have helped. But I would recommend it to all.

Overall one of the best cruises we have taken. Lots of dining options, entertainment and places to hang out.

Cruising during the Covid-19 surge in all honesty made us feel a bit uneasy. However, Carnival made all that uneasy feeling melt aware with the adherence and dedication the increasing their own safety protocols. I can honestly say I felt safer, health wise, while on the ship than I did coming back home and walking into a store or going back to work. The mandates are not burdensome and because of it I am already looking for my next Carnival cruise!

My summary is we really liked the ship, the people, the food, the drink, the casino. Nothing major to say anything disappointed us.

This was our first cruise back since the lockdown. We had a blast and booked another family cruise for after the school year.

Overall review of this trip is simple, AMAZING. We had an absolutely great time aboard the Mardi Gras. The staff was wonderful, the food choices were great, nothing out of place. Everyone needs to experience this ship and it's glory. I will be booking it again this year!

Overall this week was AMAZING. This was the first NYE cruise on the Mardi Gras and I had the best time ever. The food was great, service was outstanding and the atmosphere was just so good. Even though we missed costa maya, they still went out of their way to make sure that we had a fun day on the ship! They really make you feel like a home away from home and honestly after 3 cruises on this ship I still can’t wait to be able to come back one of these days!

Food was good. Buffet really limited but lots of other free places to eat. Chi bang was delicious and the steakhouse is a must. Emerils was very good. The new Seashore restaurant was okay…not worth the upcharge

Meh-est cruise that ever meh-ed. I ate, I drank (a LOT), and the only redeeming factor about the cruise was Claudia in the Havana Bar.

For my first Christmas cruise, I would have to say that the Mardi Gras did not disappoint. I love the vibes and energy we received the whole week and just seeing everyone in their Christmas Pajamas made me happy. Felt like being at home which is a small but important touch when it comes to being on a cruise. Definitely cannot wait to be able to come back and visits this ship.
