Great cruise! Great ship and all the staff that we met were excellent! Helpful, kind and friendly ~ our family loved the cruise!!
We were an extended family with ages of 10 - 68 yrs and everyone had a great time!
Embarkation

It was very good, just a bit confusing in the beginning with our luggage. I had been told we could take our carry-ons onboard, but then once we arrived we were told no. Later, I saw several people bringing on their luggage.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining

We ate at the Concerto Restaurant and loved their menu choices. The attendants were top notch and treated us excellent! We had 7 children and 8 adults at 2 tables and we all received the best attention and the staff were so friendly and warm ~ we all just loved them! My grandkids couldn't believe the choices; and that they could have TWO desserts!! haha!!
Onboard Activities

As adults, several of us used the fitness center, pools and basketball courts - - very nice areas.
Entertainment
2 out of 5
This is the only area that myself, and my family were discouraged about. The musicians/DJs were really good. Our dislike was with the evening entertainment. We walked out of the comedian on the first night - he acknowledged children in the audience (quite a lot as it was at 7:30 and "should have been" family friendly), but just kept up with the adult themed so-called jokes and side comments. There were several groups that got up after it was apparent he wasn't going to tailor his humor to families; we were one of those groups.
The Theatre performers were very good, but again (and I may be in a different group from others) many of the women performers were in scanty outfits. When my granddaughters make comments, then you know it is time to leave. We tried twice, but then stopped going.
It has been a few years since traveling on Princess, but there should be "family" rated programs/productions and then, if necessary, "adult" programs for later in the night.
Children's Programs
5 out of 5
We had kids in the youth and teen groups and they all had a wonderful time! Great activities and crafts were provided and kept all the kids involved when we were not on an excursion. They all gave their groups a thumbs up!!
**As an aside, it would be good to keep out the bad language in the teen center. Perhaps a sign, cleverly written, and announced when sign in happens. According to our teens, there was quite a few words (including the f-word) being thrown around.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
EXCELLENT! EXCELLENT! Not one person we met that was not excellent! My adult children said this cruise far exceeded any expectations! Some have travelled on other cruise lines and they said this cruise was so much better - friendly staff everywhere, friendly stewards and the best waiters EVER!!
Ship Quality

The Majestic was beautiful! It always takes a couple of days to get oriented, but we found everything in great order: clean and always full of staff that were friendly and helpful!
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
Of course we would love a little more room, but our cabin was great! We had a daughter and granddaughter bunking with us and it would have been better to have the bunk go side to side, rather than across, so we could access the balcony easier.
Our room steward was ever so attentive. We had a stopped up sink and he had someone out to clear it out in no time! We always had a clean room, clean towels and trash emptied ~ better than any service at home!! Absolutely no complaints!
Ship tip
Bring an multi-port device for your phones, etc as there is only 1 outlet beside the bed, the other two are at the desk.
We did this outside our cruise, but found Seattle to be well below standards of clean and safe. The wharf was nice, but in the evening the area around it was quite sketchy. We had to drive through a "red light" district to get to our hotel (in broad afternoon daytime hours) and the manager said it has really become a problem for Seattle and tourists visiting, besides those that are living there.
Excellent! We bought tickets to the Lumberjack show and also to the Saxman Village ~ all wonderful! They both gave good examples of Alaskan life, old and new.
A better time of day would have been much more desirable, but we all got up at 4:30 am and loved the scenery and commentary by Mark, the Naturalist. Always a great experience to see glaciers up close.
A small town, with interesting buildings; sadly some were closed. We went on a bus tour through Skagway and up through the Tormented Valley into Canada. Fabulous views and the guide was excellent in sharing history and facts.
Such a disappointment! I love Victoria, but we had hardly any time to spend there, and it was at such a late time. We did take a public bus to walk around some old sites and the legislative buildings and gardens, but there were TONS of homeless people when we were out walking, doing drugs right in plain sight! Very sad situation! Tents everywhere!
We probably should have stayed on the ship, but wanted to see what my husband and I remember from before Covid as a beautiful and clean city. Missing Butchart Gardens was very disappointing, but the city we encountered was in very sad shape.
