Review summary

Good Alaska cruise with some bumps along the way.

Embarkation

4 out of 5
It was good and fast besides the workers yelling at you as you walk in the terminal as you go to the restroom which was not enjoyable.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
The Ships Dining room was very good for Dinner and we did not go to the horrible buffet once for dinner. Breakfast and lunch are pretty bad as people are trampling over you to get a seat and find food that wasn't that good. They also did not have mango juice which I get every time on a cruise.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Mini golf was good , and the fountain show from the looks of it was good. The Hollywood Conservatory pool looked fun when in port but not on a sea day as it might be crowded. We also went to go see the Captain Q&A on the last sea day and that was good.

Entertainment

2 out of 5
Entertainment was terrible in the Princess Theater. This may be my own opinion but for me I liked 1 out of the 3 shows.

Children's Programs

Kids did not want to go.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Our room steward was Albert and he was great. In the Concerto Dining Room Ronaldo and Joanne were amazing at our table.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
Ship design I will give a 3. It is Chinese styled and not really American style, with chinese customs and lettering around the ship. The cleanliness on this ship is a 1. One of the people in my party gor sick from the Buffett from people not washing their hands. Royal Carribean priortizes washing hands with songs and have the sinks where you can see but on Princess the sinks are hidden and no sign to encourage people to wash hands.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
The Balcony was nice, but the room was OK. We had the bunk beds down and these bunk beds are the worst we have ever seen. They go down almost to my hip and when you are sitting on the bed and get up I hit my banged my head at least 3 times. The room had very little storage compared to other balconies for 4 people.

Ports of call

Seattle, Washington

3 out of 5
Not much to say, but the Space Needle and the Chihuly Glass Gardens was nice.

Ketchikan, Alaska

4 out of 5
We did the Lumberjack Show Excursion and it was amazing. We went back after that but really annoying crossing guards who scream and yell at you if you Jay walk right next to the designated walking space. Creek Street was nice from the front but we did not go. There is a lot of jewelers and shops which hides the real Alaska charm from Ketchican though.

CRUISE ENDICOTT ARM & DAWES GLACIER Did not visit port

It was very foggy and the captain did not go. We were very disappointed.

Juneau, Alaska

3 out of 5
We did the bus to Mendenhall Glacier which was nice, but other than that Juneau really has nothing else to do besides shops. The Tram would be a other nice thing to see but it was cloudy and foggy that day so you would see nothing.

Skagway, Alaska

4 out of 5
Skagway was my favorite Alaska port because of the rich history of the gold rush and the town is now shopping like Ketchikan and Juneau but at least it still looks old the building like a wild west town. We went on the Bus to Klondike Summit with Paul, Our Driver ,who was amazing. He had a lot of good stories to tell and he was funny. He will also take you to good photo spots and the US Canadian border along with the Welcome to Alaska Sign.

Victoria, British Columbia

4 out of 5
Very Beautiful Port, I wish we had more time than 3 hours, but we went on a bus and went to town and then went back.

Disembarkation

4 out of 5
When we left I felt it was time to go home unlike any other cruise.
