Review summary

The onboard experience suffered heavily because of the lack of commitment of the staff to keep entertainment or food/drinking areas available for the full time they are supposed to be available. The itinerary of stops was amazing, but all the cruise ships hit these stops...shop find the best deal you can and choose that cruise line!

Embarkation

Great, but all the blue lane/green lane stuff is hype. Everyone is going through the same screening process despite the preparation work you did on the Medallion app.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Food was OK, wide variety, but gets old by day 3. Some food options were not available as advertised or until the time they were stated to be open.

Onboard Activities

2 out of 5
Activity schedule seemed completely random and the duration or start time on the schedule was often wrong.

Entertainment

2 out of 5
Poor. Some of the stage shows were good and others were really bad. DJ wasn't spinning on all days scheduled and never to as late an hour as promised. The schedule of activities was the biggest issue - they'd have a dancing theme game show in Princess Live and then when that event ended the next activity was trivia about corporate logos - what?! Keep the theme going of music so the people that you've spent 30 minutes getting energized, having a great time, buying drinks, will want to continue having a good time! Cruise director's team was fun, but it would've have been better if the schedule of events was better planned.

Children's Programs

5 out of 5
Phenomenal, kids loved it!

Service and Staff

2 out of 5
Staff were very friendly, they always greet you and often by name. But if your ask is outside the direct responsibilities of the staff member you're asking, they will not help you. They'll go find someone whose job it is to help you. Tried the room service through the Medallion app, it took over an hour to have an order of french fries delivered and the small bowl of fries was half full. Bars would close earlier than there stated operating times every single night. And bars that are next to event areas would close before the last event finished, which really led to a frustrating experience.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Ship was always sparkling clean.

Ship tip

The Medallion App is a great idea, but it worked 50% of the time at best. Medallions always worked for accessing your room or paying for food/drinks, but they never had real working wifi, locating shipmates worked less than 50% of the time, and delivery time for ordering food was always 1 hour or more.

You just walk off the ship, there's no experience.
