Review summary

I'm beginning to feel like a native Alaskan. One more trip and they will have to include me in the annual oil-money distribution.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
My wife and I use canes and were escorted through the process quickly.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The food was generally good. I live for the escargot on each trip. The escargot this trip had too many mushrooms. I am not allergic, I just don't like the taste!

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
The shows were great! For the most part, we just kicked back and relaxed.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Shows were great!

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Our Evening waitress, Natalya from Ukraine, was very good. She also served us in the Marketplace. Because of my cane, she often found me and helped me with my plates of food. Her excellent personality and up-front friendliness makes her THE ideal employee for Princess Cruises.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Our steward, Rico, did an excellent job of keeping our room clean and ready to live in.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
We enjoyed the extra space to strech out and feel more at home. We have had inside cabins, partial view cabins, and balcony cabins. This suite was the best and we expect that future crusies will call us to the suite. The one drawback was the width of the balcony. If we had been in a warmer climate, the balcony would have been totally inadequate.

Ports of call

Seattle, Washington

5 out of 5
The only excursion we did was the "Duck Ride" in Ketchican. The experience and learning about the area were great. The Driver and the Guide were a little over the top. Both came very close to being inappropriate.

Juneau, Alaska

5 out of 5
We visited friends from Juneau. They provided an excellent tour of the city and the local area. We then had dinner at a local restaurant, the Hanger.

Skagway, Alaska

5 out of 5
We just walked around downtown and did some shopping. On our last trip we took the Old Time Bus Tour. The in period costumed, lady guides were amazing. I may have to do this again on the next tour.

Cruise Glacier Bay

5 out of 5
Seeing the Glacier calve was beautiful, but a reminder that the ice is disappearing faster than it is being formed. Sad

Ketchikan, Alaska

5 out of 5
Again, walking the downtown and shopping.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Fast, simple and effecient!

Thanks for sharing your wonderful review. I'll be going on my first Alaska cruise May 2022. Every review I've read everyone raves about it. I'm not too keen on the cold, but I'm actually looking forward to the trip.
