Review summary

A very relaxing cruise, good amenities, excellent staff and fantastic food. Interesting and beautiful ports and some great photographic opportunities. The only negative was the wine tasting excursion, the bus tour driver was great but the actual wine tasting was dismal.

Embarkation

Experience was good, do not however wear a belt with a metal buckle, I had to remove belt and struggle with carry on luggage and hold my pants up!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
I was very pleased with the variety of food and the variety of outlets for it, if you could not find the cuisine you were happy with then would be extremely hard to please.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
The activities were there for those who wish to use them.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The entertainment were top class.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
I could not fault the service, the room Stewart was extremely courteous and very helpful, the waiters, I believe were also very courteous and nothing was too much trouble.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
I had no problem with the cabins layout and design, we came prepared with the various adaptors for the power outlets. The only problem we encountered was that both my wife and myself use CPAP machines and a power outlet either side of the bed would have saved running out leads every night.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
I was happy with the cabin and the cleanliness

Ship tip

Explore the ship early as there is so much to see and experience

Ports of call

Sydney, Australia

What can I say I was born there, a great place.

Cruise Fjordland National Park

Fabulous, get up early for a good vantage point as some of the top decks have high glass paneling and very difficult to photograph through

Port Chalmers (Dunedin), New Zealand

5 out of 5
A very quaint and interesting town

Akaroa, New Zealand

5 out of 5
An interesting port, it is a small town and became very over crowded

Wellington, New Zealand

5 out of 5
A great port, q good one to do the local attractions

Tauranga, New Zealand

5 out of 5
Loved this port, a very beautiful place

Auckland, New Zealand

We did a wine tasting excursion, do not waste your money, many we talked with on this tour were very disappointed with the actual wine tasting as to taste wine you need more than two teaspoons of wine per glass to actually taste it.

Bay Of Islands, New Zealand

5 out of 5
Very beautiful place, the town became very overcrowded very quickly

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
This was done extremely well, well explained and well executed
