Beautiful boat, didn’t feel overcrowded despite the passenger count/ missed having the adults only pool at the wake bar as on other ships.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Confusing at Sydney with no clear lines and some super grumpy passengers even before they got on board which was disappointing. Not quite sure if they thought they’d miss the boat at 1pm and though cutting in line was okay 😒
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
We found service a little slower than previous cruises. Seemed to have the staff looking after more tables resulting in longer wait times for initial service and subsequently between courses.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
Always a good variety although we generally don’t take advantage of them overall as we prefer to lie poolside and read. Some unsupervised kids did spoil it on a few occasions which is more parental lack of care factor with staff seemingly unwilling to step in and get the kids out of the pool with their drinks and food
Entertainment
3 out of 5
May have been the length of the cruise that resulted in some repetition of shows and lack of new entertainment although it was heavily spruiked how lucky we were to have 2 entertainment crews on board for a period of the time. We enjoyed the show that had the drones in it and Deans the magician and also Bevan from YTT. The kinsmen show is outdated and needs to be replaced IMO
Service and Staff

Service as mentioned earlier in the MDR was slow but was also done with a smile 😊
Ship Quality

Beautiful ship and kept clean at all times
Cabin / Stateroom

Our first balcony and we loved the size of the room and being able to enjoy some leisure time on the balcony most days as well as canapés on formal nights. Our steward was like a ghost and while we rarely saw him, he looked after us
Singapore Zoo for breakfast too to see the orangutans which was sweet. Fantastic zoo and well worth it for the Panda display alone. Could have spent all day there!! We walked from cruise ship to the Singapore gardens after the Zoo tour, these gardens are absolutely spectacular and highly recommended
An amazing city- we stayed in HK post cruise for 6 days all up- recommend the Hong Kong Pass as a cost effective and structured way of seeing the city- tip - do the hop on off bus the last day of the pass so in effect get an extra day use as its calculated on 24 hrs from when first use.
Public transport is a breeze and highly recommend
OceanPark/ the CableCar/ SkyCar/ day trip to Macau.
Litchfield tour- was disappointed not to be able have a dip at one of the swimming pools ( the rangers hadn’t had time to check and clear for crocs) but was a great tour overall
Smoothly done but annoyed that we were basically scaremongered by Princess into purchasing their “ Shuttle” having being told the wait lines are hours long- when we got to the terminal area, no wait lines for the public transport etc and a hell of a lot cheaper than Princess charged
Glad to hear favourable things. We go to NZ in November...
we are big book readers , so thanks for the heads up. ( I did see it was tiny on YouTube).
Singapore and HK are the best.
