Great, but not the best cruise!

Ship was great, wonderful time. Lots of entertainment and things to do! Labadee was amazing! There were a few issues that did bother me, although it did not effect my enjoyment of the cruise.

They cruiseline does not have it together with the dining. We selected a 6 pm dinner time and when we arrived, we, along with many other couples were placed in MyTime dining and told to come back at 8:30pm. The staff did ultimately accommodate us after several of us banded together and dispu:ted the late seating and gave us a fixed dining time of 5:30pm, which was a bit early but better than 8:30. The wait  staff was wonderful, food was mediocre at best. There were a lot of dishes of Pork and Lamb which was not my thing, and the pasta dishes were less than appetizing. Many times the food was overdone. The plus side is I did not gain weight on this trip. Customer service was wonderful in person, but don't call because the phone etiquette was not there. Our luggage did not make it to the room, when we called the front desk someone sent us to the 2nd floor in a restricted zone, so we went back up to guest services desk, which was where we found our luggage. No one offered to help us get our 3 bags to our room, so we lugged it up ourselves.  

Did couples massage, which was wonderful, but also did a pedicure which was not worth the cost charged. Another area where it is more pleasant to book in person because over the phone they are not helpful or polite. The same was true of my phone experience with Portifino when booking a brunch, that woman was downright rude when I had asked her about our reservation. ( it was placed it the cruise schedule wrong and she was really rude!!!) 

My last complaint was the stop in Puerto Rico, we arrived at 8, nothing opened til 9 and had to board by noon, it was not worth stopping for in my opinion. were not there long enough to do anything?

Overall we had a wonderful cruise, met fabulous people, and would do it again despite the minor issues we had.
