Review summary
The entertainment and the food were good. The ship overall was disorganized and lacked activities that we found on other cruise lines. The dining staff was great, but, the rest of the cruise was not that helpful. Getting information on the ports of call was also difficult. The only source of information was the daily sheet which was geared more towards shopping than the beautiful sights to see. All of the excursions were at an extra cost. Even transportation from the ship to Venice was at a cost. You would think that when the cruise line advertises Venice, Florence, Pisa, etc. that you could actually get to these places without having to spend $100 to $200 to get there. The sightseeing day trips averaged from $100 to $300 per destination per person. This was 2 to 3 times the cost if you were to book these on your own. We actually have 4 in our party and hired a personal driver for the entire day in Rome, Pisa, and Florence. The cost for this was around $300 per day vs. $500 - $600 to take a tour bus for the 4 of us for the day. Overall, I would take the cruise again because of the ports of call, but, I would not travel on Royal Caribbean, Legends of the Seas again.Ports of call
Livorno (Florence & Pisa), Italy
Livorno (Florence & Pisa), Italy
Pros: The Ports of call were great. Rome, Florence, Pisa, Venice, Croatia
Cons: Ship was disorganized
Recommends Legend of the Seas? No.
