You have to stick your key card in a slot near the front door for the lights to work in the cabin. We hadn't experienced this on previous ships and it took us a while to figure it out. :-)

Order a sandwich at the New York Deli. Corned beef and pastrami are particularly good. There is a wait after ordering, but it is close to the buffet and it is easy to get a nosh while waiting. I tended to grab some sushi.

One thing I have heard is avoid the 4th deck over the music venues... quite noisy at night, but otherwise ... go and enjoy a nice cruise.

It's big, 2900 passengers and even when it is full does not appear to be difficult to navigate.

Koningsdam is a beautiful, clean and new ship. If you just want to relax at the pools when you're at sea, it was wonderful. There were activities that we chose not to do. The sports court was fun to play pickle ball and the promenade deck 3 was awesome to walk on days at sea.

Book your shore excursions before sailing since the ports on the cruise have very popular excursions that can sell out.
