Review summary

As a entrepreneurial family we all work together and this was our 1st family vacation in about 20 years. It was a 1st cruise for half the group. The cruise was nice but maybe for our group size and ages we should've picked a cruise with more activities, entertainment, night life and kids activities. This was not the right cruise line for us. My dad has been on many cruises and was disappointed by the cabins and cruise overall. He paid to upgrade rooms and was very dissatisfied with the rooms for the kind of money he paid.

for the price paid, it was very small for a family of 4. The balcony was our favorite!

Great port, loved the beach but water shoes a must, sand is very gravel like. More food options in the port would've been nice though.

Our favorite stop on the entire cruise. Loved the culture, the architecture, people! We took a private tour (didn't book ahead as there are always many waiting) and there were about 14 of us. Tour guide was awesome! We didn't want to leave :(

Worst stop! After very rude bus/tour operators argued with our entire group about rate for the tour they became very confrontational. Who would want to take a tour with an aggressive driver in a foreign country? Umm, no. I ended up taking my baby back to the ship and we stayed on the ship the entire day with my entire family taking a tour with another driver which they said was lovely. The feedback was we could've skipped this stop altogether!

Half Moon Cay, Bahamas (Private Island)

The water was beautiful but freezing! It was the coldest day. Even the kiddies water play area was freezing. The food was way on the other side of this private island. I also would prefer that passengers get an option to go the the mainland of Bahamas to see the sights. Did we travel all this way to sit at another beach?! An option for those wanting to visit the mainland would be nice. I felt hostage a bit.

If wanted a very busy time on board you should have booked with different shipping line, you obviously never checked out anything before hand, that was a fatal mistake on your part, it Holland America’s

Holland America is not a cruise line for those wanting lots of activities. My experience has been Mostly older cruisers who enjoy card games, puzzles, etc. and are in bed by 10:00 pm.
