Review summary

We're still trying decide if we would do another cruise again. Everything was great, but the one thing we did not like were the 1-day trips and having to hurry back to the ship.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
LOVED my room, had the best sleep in a VERY LONG time!!! I need to find out what pillow brand they have b/c i NEED it!!! The shower -- amazing!! My kids were in 4182, adjoining room and it was great! My husband was able to watch football all week, so he didn't miss out on any of the games. I took naps on the balcony. It was great!

Ship tip

If you're looking for a quiet, relaxing & peaceful cruise - this is it! No loud music or party people. It was great!

Ports of call

Ft. Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida

Half Moon Cay, Bahamas (Private Island)

4 out of 5
I guess its a private island for the cruise ships... the beach is a bit small, so it gets packed with people, but at least you don't have natives bothering you to buy something from them.

Grand Turk Island

5 out of 5
Did the snorkling excursion. it was good. just doesn't leave much time to do anything else. So we really don't know what the island looks like.

Amber Cove (Puerto Plata), Dominican Republic

3 out of 5
The excursion was great - We did the Waterfalls in the national park. But the port and that side of the island is not nice.

Nassau, Bahamas

WILL NEVER go here again or pick a cruise that stops at this port!!! It was worst ever!! We went to Cabbage beach, next to The Atlantis and I left there angry. Those natives on the beach are relentless! They do not stop for a minute in trying to rip you off for something.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Effecient! We had time to eat breakfast and enjoy the last moments on the ship before leaving.

Thanks for sharing your cruise.

Some cruises have overnights in Port where you have 2 or more days in a Port so you can go farther away from the port or be in town for the night life. I enjoy the sea days!

And look at the itinerary for how long you are in port before you book. We cruised Celebrity Summit and generally had from 8am/6pm. Then we cruised Regal Princess and had 11am/5pm. I'm not sure if certain cruise lines have longer port days, or if it's just the itinerary? I like long days in port, and the least amount of sea days.

Well at least you didnt have to spend too much time with the 'natives'

That is a drawback to cruising. However you do have the option of staying on the ship which makes for a very relaxing day.
