Review summary

We were onboard on Easter Sunday, actually it was a sea day. It would have been nice to have had a nice Easter Brunch for us. Well, they did offer a Brunch but it was a charge! However, we were fortunate to have a priest with us during Lent and to celebrate Easter Sunday. Enjoyed the relaxing sea days.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Everything went smoothly. Our luggage was all delivered without any issues.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Enjoyed breakfast, dinner and lunch (when dining room was opened)in the dining room. We only ate in the Lido when necessary.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Often activities that I would like to do were at the same time, or at an inconvenient time i.e. pickle ball at 4pm and we had early sitting for dinner. Bingo would be at the same time when port information would be given.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
BB KING jazz, Bill board with 2 piano players and the Lincoln Ceter, Classical music, Rock Band were all good. But again the time of their performances were not good for our schedule. No major performances on Main stage with singers and dancers, like our last Holland America cruise. There were single singers or groups of 3 or 4, and comedians, magicians.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Excellent, excellent, excellent. Waitstaff in dining room outstanding! Out stateroom was always cleaned and done early as we requested.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Layout was fine.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Cabin was a good size, comfortable. There was a small area with couch and a desk, then another area there was the king size bed near the veranda. Fresh flowers every day were a nice touch.

Ship tip

Be sure to wash your hands frequently. We both caught a cold at the end of our trip.

Ports of call

Ponta Delgada, Azores

Very pretty-just walked around the town.

Malaga, Spain

We took a tour to Malijas. It was a very pretty village in the mountains with lots of beautiful leather stores at reasonable prices.
