Review summary
As always on Holland America, the food and service were outstanding. The ship just launched in April 2016, and is large by HAL standards (about 2600 people). They also are trying some new design features, some good (lots of verandah staterooms, much improved evening entertainment options) and some not (the Promenade deck is very narrow in places and not at all inviting for fitness walking, no guest laundry facilities). The itinerary was good, although 6 ports in 7 days was a bit intense. If you are accustomed to the mega-ships of other cruise lines, this will seem small. It was too many people for us so we will stick with HAL's smaller ships from now on.

Ship tip
Loved the food at Dive In and New York Deli & Pizza, although the wait times at the latter were pretty long. Both of these were a nice break from the insanity of the Lido Market. Breakfast in the dining room was also a treat.
