Review summary

Jewel of the Seas is beautiful from the outside but needs many updated inside. Staterooms were overvalued, fixtures falling apart, lack of cleanliness (which is to be home for a week), food is underwhelming although service provided by food and beverage were good.

MAIN DINING FOOD and SERVICE NEEDS IMPROVEMENT ASAP. Windjammer buffet excellent service and food. May need to address how individuals serve themselves, lack of cleanliness and need to address how many people sit at a table. The buffet was crowded many days and 1 person would be sitting at a table for 5 or more, without sharing.

ROOM STEWARD PROVIDED HORRIBLE SERVICE FOR THE REST OF THE CRUISE. HAD TO BE REPLACED. WAITERS FROM DINING ROOM, WINDJAMMER AND ROOM SERVICES WERE GOOD.

SHIP common areas not cleaned very well. Room was NOT CLEAN AT ALL.

CLEANLINESS HAD A LOT TO BE DESIRED, WAS NOT CLEANED UNTIL REPLACING INITIAL ATTENDANT. Size and comfort were okay.
