My husband has always wanted to go to Greece as he is Greek. He was a little disappointed with Athens and Santorini. The cruise itself was wonderful. It was July and it was very hot.

We embarked in Italy. A shuttle bus was waiting for us at the airport to take us to the ship. It was about an hour drive to the port from the airport.

Everyone calls us by our names. Always friendly and helpful. This cruise was out of Italy. Alot of the parties and music were in Italian. The CD at rhe time also spoke in Italian which wasn't great for Americans.

It's an older smaller ship. Don't recommend it if you have children.
We went in July of 2019 before Covid. It was very hot. Santorini I is a giant rock. Everything is imported. No trees for shade. Don't go during the summer.
Athens is a very large, congested city. It has seen better days. There was a lot of graffiti everywhere. We did make it to Mount Lacabettus. The view was exceptional.
Thanks for sharing. You don't know how a city could be until you actually visit there. Travel catalog photos are oftentimes deceiving. Good you enjoyed your cruise overall.
