Great trip when you like landscape sceneries. The weather in Norway can change any minute. Just dress in layers and bring an umbrella or rain coat.
Embarkation
3 out of 5
The building used for embarkation was difficult to find. Once we entered the building the process was smooth.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
We travelled in a group of 11. On day 1 I made reservations for 3 nights to sit together. For the rest all parties were open to eat at their own time. At the end we only had 1 night we didn't eat together. We ate at different times. Every time we got the same table and waiters. The food was good every night.
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
There were the usual activities of swimming, slides, rock climbing etc. One party was a little upset that their children were old enough to pay adult cruise fair but were not allowed in the solarium.
Entertainment
4 out of 5
The shows were great. If English is not your first language, you might miss some of the jokes the comedian makes. We had no trouble finding seats when we arrived 15 minutes before the show.
Service and Staff
4 out of 5
All service was great.
Ship Quality
3 out of 5
It was not always easy to find a table for lunch in the MDR. We never ate lunch as a group of 11 but even when split up, you had to be there early or late. There were enough elevators and you didn't have to wait long. There were enough chairs to enjoy the scenery on deck. After COVID they did their best to keep the ship clean.
Cabin / Stateroom
3 out of 5
Their were no electricity outlets next to the bed. The room steward brought an extension cord. The beds were good, enough storage space. The room was close to the bridge used to disembarkation in each port. You could hear it some days.
You have to go through the locks in time. The ship will arrive the night before in Amsterdam. You can visit the city and check out in the morning. Amsterdam at night is entertaining.
Kayaking was cancelled as it was too tough to get out of the harbor because of wind. It was raining hard as well. It's a very, very long walk back to the ship. Directions are not everyone and it's a little puzzling where to go. We didn't see much of the city that supposed to be very nice.
We took a bus trip around. We enjoyed the waterfall that was huge because of all the rain. The rest of the party walked through the city and enjoyed their time.
This was a bonus stop. And one of our favorite stops. We realized too late how beautiful this city is and took a late hop-on hop-off bus that starts immediately outside the ship. We could have spend a full day in the city with all their beautiful parks.
