Review summary

We look forward to visiting this area again and continue to love RCCL.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
We don't usually fly to our port so this was our first experience with transfer from airport to ship. RCCL did an excellent job.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Chops was fantastic. Main dining room was very good but it seems like the level of personal attention to guests has slipped a little over the years.

Schooner Bar

5 out of 5

We always enjoy ending the day in the Schooner Bar! Tony did not disappoint.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
We are not big in on board activities. This cruise had more ports than most so other than sitting on deck after returning from Port, we didn't do much.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The group in the Centrum was very good. Tony in the Schooner Bar was excellent. We went to most of the production shows in the theater and were very impressed with the sets and the entertainment. The tango show was excellent as well.

Solarium

5 out of 5

Peaceful place to sit and recharge.

Children's Programs

No children in our parry

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Our stateroom attendant, Maddy, was very attentive, helpful and friendly. The officers were very friendly and waiters in Windjammer and dining room served us very well.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
We love this ship. We can get around easily and always able to find a secluded deck to sit and relax. This design also allows us to enjoy many different venues without having to deal with smoke coming from the casino.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Great room! Located near the forward elevator and far from noise. Loved our balcony!

Ship tip

Two things we brought with us: #1 Command hooks to hang our beach bag and hats on the wall #2 Battery operated tea lights to leave on in the bathroom at night to avoid turning on that light to use the facilities at night

Ports of call

San Juan, Puerto Rico Did not visit port

Been there before so we just went from the airport to the ship

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas Did not visit port

We stayed on the ship because we have visited St Thomas before

Basseterre, St. Kitts

5 out of 5
We have fallen in love with this island. We took the railway tour and the people and the island are beautiful.

St. John's, Antigua

4 out of 5
We didn't spend a lot of time on the island. We took a snorkel and beach excursion and visited one of the most beautiful beaches that we have ever been to. The snorkeling was average. Much better in the Keys.

Castries, St. Lucia

5 out of 5
St Lucia was my favorite port for beautiful views! Having said that, unfortunately we were disappointed in our excursion. It was a Scenic Boat Tour to the Pitons. The rum started flowing about 1/2 hour into the ride to the Pitons and by the time we turned around for the 1 1/2 ride back the music had changed from Caribbean light to very loud club music with the whole crew passing out rum punch and rave dancing all around the boat. It was difficult to focus on the view and block out the party.

Bridgetown, Barbados

5 out of 5
Again, another beautiful island. We ended up hiring a taxi to tour the island and enjoyed learning about the people and culture from Oliver our driver.

Disembarkation

4 out of 5
Not too bad. Lines at customs were long but took less than half an hour.
