Review summary

The staff is very pleasant and fun to be around. The activities on board are very limited. After 1am the ship shuts down even the casino is a ghost town. The food was average. Out of the four cruises I've taken the food choices weren't impressive.

Thank you so much!

Water not allowed but 2 bottles of wine per stateroom, 750 ml each, no hard liquor. Champagne is allowed but has to be 750 ml as well

My husband and I just came back from our honeymoon last month and we were doing the pay as you go; besides the fact that the two of us are not really drinkers we only had a few drinks. If you have at least 2-3 drinks a day it is well worth it. Try to share the beverage package with your husband or whomever you are going with, it will cut down on the price

We are taking the Jewel of the Seas in December.

That all depends on how much you drink. Frozen drinks are 12-14 not sure on beer . I'm happy with what is provided an and just buy a few in the evening. Lots of package options. Where are you cruising to ? If the Caribbeans, may have a few suggestions !

This will be my first cruise in over 20. Do you recommend getting a beverage package or pay as you go? Any good excursions? Thanks in advance!!!

I agree. I thought all food on board was fine. What I missed was the choice dining options. Just seemed limited. Maybe I'm spoiled after cruising on Oasis. The staff on the Jewel was overall best of any cruise yet.
