Review summary

The ship had everything. It was big enough but managable to get around. It was a beautiful ship. As the ship was full, it was hard to get a lounge chair by the pool unless you got there very early and reserved one which they told you not to do although most people did. The entertainment was very good. The food was good except for any beef which was always "chewy". Portofino was very good and Chops was a bit lacking. There were 2 late night buffets - no fancy chocolate buffet although we really did not need any more food. The shops were the usual ship shops - nothing great. The Central American itinery was excellent. We booked the tours from the ship. They were about the same price as friends paid for private tours. The shopping tour of Cartahena was adequate to see the town. You did not have a lot of time at the emerald shopping mall if you wanted to shop around to compare prices. I bought an emerald at Mr Emerald. We did the rain forest tour in Costa Rica. It was a long day but an excellent tour. We went to Panama City. It is a beautiful city. We saw the ruins from hundreds of years ago, the new modern city with beautiful skyscrapers and the colonial part also very beautiful. The people on the ship were mostly quite elderly - so it was quieter than a younger crowd. The gym was very nice and not busy because of the age group. The spa was very good.

We did not want to be on Deck 2 but were given Deck 2. The window was a port hole, not a picture window. It was dark and smelly down there. As the ship was completely full, we could not move to any other cabin.

Ports of call

Oranjestad, Aruba

Shops at the port are expensive. Good internet cafe at the port - cheap internet and water. We did a tour the last time we were there and it was a very nice place to see.
Don't Miss: Internet Cafe.

Colon, Panama

The rain forest tour by boat and ariel tram was excellent. It was expensive but worth it. Lots of birds and animals. Bring binoculars.
Don't Miss: The market at the port. Beautiful wooden products.

George Town, Grand Cayman

Shops better priced than Aruba. If you pick up at tour from the street, wait until after 12 as the prices goes down to $10 for a 2 hour tour.
Don't Miss: Margaritaville for a cheeseburger and onion rings - delish.

Cartagena, Colombia

Very nice town. Constant sellers pushing their wares into your face.
Don't Miss: Emerald shopping mall to buy an emerald.

Pros: Beautiful ship - Good Food - good entertainment - great itinery
